I came in to order the shake I usually get from marble slab I had never been into the one in Mansfield until now and will not be returning. All the menu screens were off and they only had a little menu that didn’t even list all their items, for example there was only ice cream no shakes. Once I asked if they had shakes he said yes even though it wasn’t shown on the menu I asked what kind? He couldn’t even tell me what flavors they had. I asked if they had cookies n cream and they did and I asked for a regular, he filled my (REGULAR SIZE) HALFWAY! No chocolate drizzle or whip cream like there usually is. No work ethic and they saw nothing wrong with it.
I’m not sure if ownership has changed or supply costs have forced some decisions on how and when cookies are baked but the service is not the same and inventory is always low or won’t be available until the next day!!!
Ice cream was okay. Service was great. We got three kid-cups and paid almost $18!!! I did not check the price before buying and that is my problem but I really was not expecting a $4.99 for a kid size cup of ice cream. Way over priced!!! To the owner’s response: quality is important and that is not a question. However, there are many stores out there that provide similar or better quality for half the price. I appreciate your response though. Thanks!
Great food, but they often get your order wrong if you order via Uber eats
It's a terrible place, I don't know if it's because they don't want to do their job, or what's the reason? You order something on the menu and they say they don't have it, you ask what something on the menu is made of and they don't know, you ask them for something on the menu that is online and they say that they do not sell it I recommend people not to come to this place and look for another place
Tonight, I picked up my custom ordered ice cream cake from Marble Slab Creamery. I ordered medium sized vanilla cake with sweet cream and heath bar mix. When I picked it up everything looked great so I even tipped them as I payed and left. This store is about 20 minutes from my work and about 40 minutes from my home(country life). When I get home I put the cake in my deep freeze and eat my birthday dinner with my family. We pull out the cake which still looks amazing and we slice out four slices. Problem number one: I notice that the ice cream is one layer and I can barely see any candy between the ice cream layer and the cake layer. This is odd because the whole point of marble slab is they mix in the candy with your ice cream. I brush this off as just someone being in a rush. Problem number two: I take my first bite and thankfully I do not have a peanut allergy because I take a large bite of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. At first I don’t say anything sometimes candy mixes happen and I think maybe a piece just fell in. NOPE. The entire cake is Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. My husband and son are happy because it’s their favorite but I happen to hate peanut butter in desserts. My husband says jokingly that this can be his cake and he’ll get me one that I like later this week. At this point I’m frustrated and I decide to call because while I don’t have a peanut allergy someone else might and I paid over $45 plus a tip, for a cake that I really don’t like. Problem number three: I call and very politely explain the issue I had and at first the clerk was very understanding took my information and said she’d have her manager call me back either tomorrow or the day after. She calls back within the hour and I am impressed. Then the clerk tells me to bring in the cake tonight and her manager will review the cake and call me back in a few days. Remember how I said I live 40 minutes away, I inform the clerk of this and her response is, “if you live 40 minutes away why did you choose our establishment?” I inform her I live in the country and that this location is closest to my work. I also am frustrated because she expects me drive 40 minutes to drop off a cake that needs to be inspected. She then tells me this is a he said she said situation and that they need to look the cake over. I then ask to speak to a manager and she tells me she is the supervisor and her managers unavailable. I end the call with well thanks happy birthday to me. I understand that mistakes happen and I understand that people take advantage of businesses but seriously this is ridiculous. I will never visit a Marble Slab again.
Received a call from marble slab via Uber eats that they were out of an item, the employee didn't want to cancel it on their side and then suggested I cancel it on mine because they didn't start the order and I wouldn't get charged. Apparalently they actually had started the order and I got charged. Uber eats sorted it out for me, but still pretty sketchy given that I was willing to accept the substitute that they gave me.
I have to give them 2/12 stars tonight. I normally drive out of my way to come to this marble slab because they make the best ice cream and have good brownies. And I have to say they didn’t disappoint on how they made the ice cream and the taste! It was very good ice cream and the staff was nice. The problem was when we went to pay. I had a birthday reward that I was trying to use and the guy couldn’t find it. I showed him the email that I got this morning reminding me to use the reward before it expired. He wouldn’t ask anyone to help him, just said that he couldn’t find it and wasn’t willing to help. I’m very disappointed. We went to marble slab tonight just to use that reward. Now I’ve probably lost that reward and I’m not pleased about it at all. Especially since I had proof of the reward. It was a marble slab e-mail with their logo and everything. They had good ice cream tonight, but when you don’t honor a promotion that was sent to my email and I show you the email I believe it should be honored. Very disappointed tonight.
