I've been to plenty of Japanese restaurants, so my expectations are very high. This place exceeded them and more! Great lunch combination options and flavorful miso, but the real star here is an extensive list of unique signature sushi rolls -- including options I've never even seen at any other sushi place. They have pictures of these specialties, as well as extensive descriptions, and our server did a good job of providing further explanations and recommendations. We had an unbelievably delicious lunch, and seriously considered coming back for dinner! The location is a little bit difficult to get to, but that's a small price to pay for such a hidden gem. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!
Tried yellowtail sashimi, and eel sushi, my two favorites and both had me debating ordering more. Then my appetizer came, shiitaki kaiyaki, pictured below, it was fantastic and filled me up. Tips, upgrade your Mai Tai to the Myer's, and pay $3 to take the chopsticks home✌️
I left my phone at my table and my daughter went back to retrieve it for me. Our server had the phone and she refused to give it back until y daughter showed her where I was. She then proceeded to come up to my car to complain about her tip. Understood to an extent, but she was holding onto my property and refused to give it back.
1st experience wasn't great. Decided to give it another chance. Horrible decision. Regret
Saw many locals come in and be greeted by first name. Food was great. Treated well. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
Drop by for supper. Ordered the Tuna Tataki and the fish was fresh. Deserve a 5 star
The salad was good Bugs around my food I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box and the chicken was horrible. It was so hard and chewy! Plus the fake grill marks made it more unappetizing Also the sushi was not very good The server said next time I should order Salmon! I don’t think I’m coming back next time
I had heard good things about this place, but my visit was disappointing. I ordered a take-out sushi boat for two people for a special occasion. What I received for $70 was a sparse platter which appeared (to me) sized for just one person, even though the restaurant insisted that it was for two. The few sashimi offerings each comprised 3 slices, which was frustrating to try to divide among 2 people. The fish tasted at best OK, with several items tasting not-so-OK, like they'd been sitting out of the frig for a while. The tamago in particular was stale and cardboardy. I want to support local businesses, but this takeout felt like taking advantage of me. In the end the two of us made a second dinner to make up for the shortfall.
