Had a delightful early dinner with family and friends this week. This small restaurant (maybe 6 or 7 tables) does a bustling business in drive through, but provided great service for diners the night we were there. Our server and the manager were both very friendly and attentive and we got great food without too much waiting. Started out with Crab wontons, pot-stickers, and chicken satay appetizers - all hot, fresh and tasty. For dinner I had the Tamarind Prawns - deep fried shrimp over a sweet slaw, dressed with a sweet tamarind and garlic sauce. Shared with the table, everyone loved it! Spiced 3/5 it really wasn't hot at all, just flavorful. Others had the Prawn Pad Thai, which was ample, very well seasoned and served with large, juicy shrimp (2/5 very mild) and the Southern Curry - a Massaman-style beef curry served with asian pancakes which had great flavor, a coconut milk base, and at 2/5 heat, had wonderful flavors but really no heat to speak of. Our fourth diner had the Red Curry with beef and got this at a 4/5 heat level. She loved the dish, found the curry sauce to be delicious and brought every drop home to mix with rice for left overs. At 4/5 this was a spicy dish but nowhere near challenging from a heat level, just delicious. It's possible the kitchen was being gentle with us as this was our first time there, and all the dishes were delicious, but I think we would turn the spice level up a level or two for each of these dishes the next time we are there! Service was GREAT and we will be back!

Great small place. I’ve had better Thai food, but I lived in Thailand for 7 years. I told the staff regular/normal spiciness the dish normally comes with and had 0 spice. My fault I should’ve just said 5 stars lol.

There will be a wait for food and for good reason. This is some of the best Thai food I've had. Watch for that spice level! I'm so used to low spice the first time I came I got a 4. It was so hot I almost couldn't eat it. The food is so damn good I powered through, though!

Order takeout. When I entered to ask for my takeout and I was yelled at by a man who claimed to be the manager who told me to go stand outside. My takeout was on the table with my name and ready to go and I was ushered outside and scolded. The podium outside was unattended and only has a sign that requests you wait for seating. There is no sign to indicate you should wait there for your takeout. Before yelling at customers, I would recommend making clear signage and treating people with respect. If I had not paid already, I would not have given a dollar. There are several other Thai food restaurants in town. I would recommend choosing one of them. The man yelling at me could have easily checked my confirmation and handed me my takeout and avoided anything negative. Absolutely disappointing and 100% uncalled for treatment for misunderstanding where they want me to stand for takeout.

This place has great food. the noodles are the best I've had in this state. Just wish the chicken in the teriyaki was cooked a tad bit more n maybe a few more veggies but over all its our go-to Friday night dinner.

Was not very filling, and very average in taste. Just finished eating the red curry, and 10 minutes later I am hungry again. It is rare to have a middling meal that doesn't fill you up while costing just shy of 20 bucks per person for 1 item before tip. I paid over 60 bucks for 3 meals and they didn't even bring enough fortune cookies for everyone. I would suggest a different city if you are looking for curry that is not overpriced for what you get. Sumalee is just as bad. Next day update. My stomach has been wrecked. I will never be trying this place again.

The food at Thian Thai has gone way DOWN HILL! We order the same thing every time. The food is cold, the broccoli is raw and they penny pinch with every morrsel you purchase. The only thing good is the flavor in the food but I can say dealing with the elderly lady who has worked there since we have been going is not worth it. I would not recommend this place anymore. Sumalee Thai is a little further drive but food quality and service is hands down far better
