Sooo the reason I gave noodle shop a 3 was strictly off food the service was good and it has a very nice atmosphere. But the food was not good at all the noodles were in flavorful over cooked mushy and bland the actual Mongolian was good. The wonton soup was flavorful but the actual wontons was so thin and overcooked they looked more like egg drop. Now with this being said I am funny about my Asian food but this was a no for me and especially for $25…
Absolutely wonderful as always! Noodles are always amazing and delicious, staff is always so friendly and helpful and gracious! Hands down best noodle place in Asheville, been a repeat customer since 2008 ... Heck I take the challenge of finding parking downtown just to get to go from there to share with my coworkers! Literally never had a bad meal or experience with this absolutely amazing establishment! Do your belly a favor and go run, not walk and get you some Noodle Shop!! ❤️❤️❤️ Vegetarian options: Lots of options off the bat and easily accommodate dishes that aren't originally vegetarian into vegetarian options ❤️
Great spot, the calamari was delicious!
I stop here every time I’m in town. I’m a sucker for Asheville noodle and enjoy the entire massive portion right down to the bottom of the bowl. I typically get thin egg noodles, but last weekend I had thin rice noodles and enjoyed those too.
The bowl of noodles is x-large and delicious Vegetarian options: Noodle and veggies, no need to say more...
Wonderful selections and great customer service
Portions were huge and the staff was friendly, but that was the only good part of our experience. Our food was lacking flavor and the restaurant is in need of a deep clean. Would prefer smaller portions with more flavor versus a giant plate of food that isn’t worth taking home.
I'm surprised and glad to find an authentic Chinese restaurant in dt asheville. The food was really good (my only quibble was that the rice could be better, but it wasn't super noticeable next to the meats and veggies which were delicious). Good soups, a great variety of options, and very affordable. Probably the most affordable place to eat real cooking in all of Asheville.
Great low-key classic Asheville Chinese spot that has been here for 25 years. I have been wanting to check it out for years, and finally made it tonight! I got the spicy noodle soup and a spring roll. Soup was HUGE! It was great on a cold rainy night. Under $15. Service was great too. I would definitely be a regular if I lived around here.
Great little place! Portions of soup are huge! Olivia was a sweetheart tending to us and made us feel right at home. We will be back when we come back to town.
