Not Up to the Indian standard food.
Had lunch here recently and ordered goat curry and garlic naan, the goat curry was very good and the meat was cooked really well. The goat curry was provided along with a bowl of jeera rice which is of a decent quantity. Will recommend a try.
The absolute best Indian Food in North Scottsdale and you must try the butter chicken! If you place an online order arrive a little later than the pick up time (at least 15 minutes) to avoid a wait - they are busy and everything is very fresh!
Everything was delicious and the staff was great! We will definitely eat here again.
We can’t rate the food as we were never served our entrees. (See below) We would rate service a zero if that was an option. This was our third visit to Namaste. The first time about a year ago, service was a little slow but the food was excellent. It looked like the kitchen was prioritizing take out orders over those dining in resulting in the slow service. Our 2nd time at Namaste was about 6 months ago. We were only one of 2 tables dining in. Both tables had a long wait for food. It took about an hour & 15 minutes to get our entrees. Their kitchen was non-stop churning out the take-out orders which again seemed to be taking priority over those dining in. On our 3rd (and final) trip today, we arrive early (4:45) to try and avoid potential wait times. There was only one other table with 2 guests seated when we arrived. There was a lot of activity with takeout orders. To attempt to avoid a wait, we ordered drinks, an appetizer and our entrees right away to get them in the works. It took about 15 minutes for the appetizer to arrive. We then waited and watched as other guest arrived and were seated, some waited, others were never seated and left. After another 20 minutes we were surprised when 2 tables near us that arrived and were seated after we ordered our food, were being served their entrees! When we could finally get the waiters attention, he said our food would come soon, and others were served first because we ordered an appetizer!?!? Really? Apparently ordering an app puts an entree order to the bottom of the queue. At this point it was an hour since we were seated with no food in sight, so we told the waiter we were leaving. We asked for the check to cover our drinks & appetizer. He offered to check with the kitchen on our entrees. We said not to bother and commented that their services were unacceptable and we were not waiting any longer for the food. He commented that our wait time and serving others that arrived after us was completely reasonable. If that is their opinion, we now realize that their service clearly does reflects this opinion. We will not return. We will spend our $$ at restaurants that seem to value their customers. A 35 mile round trip for Indian food, and this failed attempt to have dinner was not how we planned to spend our afternoon/evening.
This is a pretty good place. I ordered Naan and Saag. It was good, but the rice that came with it wasn't very good. Also, the menu prices were much lower than I was charged. I saw the Saag was 13.95 online, but when I got there the bill was 23.81. so it was more expensive than I thought. I think they did a good job at getting the spice level right and I asked for less oil and they did that well...so I am not upset...it's just I would have expected the prices to be consistent and the rice to be a tastier long basmati instead of an uncle bens type rice.
Moving from out of town about ten years ago, I struggled to find great Indian food until now. This is hands down the best in all of Arizona that I have had (and I have had lots). Highly recommend!!!
I just left Namaste, and this was my first time ever having Indian food… man have I been missing out. When I first walked in my senses were overwhelmed by the varying spices wafting through the air. I salivated while reading the menu and opted on several items, knowing that I’d have leftovers for the next day. The food was magnificent, the spice level (medium) was perfect for my pallet (and the tables), but this food tasted special, and it wasn't until our table was being cleared until I found out that this is a family business. Brothers, cousin, sisters, mothers, fathers, aunts and uncles… everyone was family, and that’s when I realized we aren’t just at a restaurant, we are at this lovely family’s table. That is what makes Namaste so special. I highly recommend them. I can’t wait to go back!!
This was our first time trying Namaste Indian Restaurant and oh my goodness, this place is a must try! The food was absolutely amazing. The service was the best and the fact that it’s a family run business is so great to see. I ordered my food spicy ️ and oh my it was spicy and oh so delicious. We highly recommend Namaste. We will be going back many times over. If you have no plans for tomorrow, go and have an amazing dinner.
Was a bit slow for service at first but after they took our orders it was pretty fast and the food was pretty good I think the naan bread is alright I got some doughy pieces that weren’t good and my coconut curry’s meat was dry which was lamb but idk if he messed up my order cause I swore the server said beef when he gave it to me but none the less the curry was good . I have a nut allergy so it s hard to find Indian restaurants that have a coconut curry good spot overall Edit : came back a second time and got the same stuff I got last time and for some reason I broke out in an allergic reaction. I’m allergic to nuts and I specifically look for places that have coconut curry because it does not contain nuts in the slightest and I did not react the first time coming here but last night I couldn’t even eat more than two bites. I was reacting pretty bad, so I’m a little bit agitated as to why this happened. I’m wondering if they changed the recipe or did not listen to me saying coconut curry or maybe mixed something in by accident but I’m never coming back here.
