So we made an honest mistake. We ordered online. There are two Kodo restaurants. We ordered the wrong location and they are not affiliated with each other. After going to our local Kodo, we found it was the Scottsdale location. My wife called for a refund... Denied. Ok. Requested a gift card..... Which would have made us go there or give it to someone to go there. Denied. This is bad business for an honest mistake. Both online order websites are identical. The staff will enjoy 75 dollars worth of free food on our dime, or even worse, give it to a customer there and make double the money.
Staff is great and the atmosphere too, but the food is not good. Came for the Sashimi, and manit was awful. Fishy smell and hard to swallow taste. Maybe it was a bad batch given all the good reviews? Definitely not coming back.
One of the best sushi spots in the valley!
Was hoping for better but I would recommend this place if you're fairly new to sushi
Our first time here and we are so glad we found this hidden gem in one of our favorite cities! Fish is fresh and comes in every morning, we could tell. My ahi.com was delicious and my son's omakase was really a wonder in taste and freshness. Excellent dinner! Thank you!
Wow Its like Hawaii in Scotysdale!!!!
The best sushi in Phoenix
Always a good time at Kodo. This is a routine lunch spot for me and their lunch combo options are unbeatable for a sushi restaurant. I routinely go for the udon + 2 rolls lunch combo.
Try nice people fresh sushi
The best sushi in the valley.
No ramen but udon noodle soup & salmon roll were delicious! Sushi very fresh. Awesome purple sushi rice.
Great sushi that's actually affordable!
Great place for sushi. Nice contemporary scene with great service and excellent choice of sushi and sake. Recommend the spicy edamame and Phoenix roll. The sashimi is good but lacks the freshness if compared to a good sushi bar in the Bay Area or NYC. But I liked it and will be going back for more.
