maciel's (bartlett)

My boyfriend and I had been seeing this restaurant while passing by on Germantown Road, wanting to try it out for the longest. We saw a good review on the NextDoor app and decided to try it out as soon as possible! The atmosphere inside is really nice, with upbeat music and super attentive, friendly, welcoming workers. The employee who took our order was really nice, as well as the other workers who came around to our table several times to check up on us. The food was excellent! I ordered a torta de milanesa asada and my boyfriend ordered 4 tacos de al pastor. The meat for the tacos was flavorful, except their salsas weren't spicy, and the tortilla for the tacos estaba aguada (it was a little soft). Nonetheless, it was good. Overall, we gave the food an 8/10, and the service and ambiance a 10/10. The horchata was really yummy, better than most here in Memphis! The chips served with the salsa were also delicious (: We would definitely go back again (:

Just as good as the midtown location. Hit the place right at the lunch rush and they were cranking out the food. Shrimp tacos and chicken fajitas were the selection today.

Food was flavorless, except the shrimp taco that was oddly fishy. Churros were greasy and not properly coated. Torta bread was hard. Won't be back unfortunately. Quality is nothing like the Midtown location.

Food and service were outstanding! Ordered to go in person, hot and fresh out the door in less than 10 minutes with five different meals. They were very busy since they had just opened, yet everything was perfect.

The customer service is the epitome of a fine experience. The food came out promptly and was so delicious! They even helped me to my car with my order. Definitely will be back.

Same great food as the other locations! I got the Pollo Torta which was🔥🔥🔥 The horchata was great as well.

Great addition to Bartlett! This place easily holds the title for best torta.
