One of my favorite restaurants of all time… get the waygu beef ravioli!!

I'm very picky about restaurants that advertise as "the best" . I have been to better Italian restaurants than this one but it does have several merits that might make it worth your time on S.Salina We made reservations for 9 people and needed to give a credit card number to secure our spot. We called a week before. If you can't find a spot online -- just call the restaurant. Ask for a table not near the bar because it's extremely loud. Our larger party sat in a large room with similar size parties. Service: Fantastic for our large group. Our used dishes were removed promptly. My water was never freshened up but those drinking alcohol or soda were refilled fast Atmosphere: One star off for the room being extremely cold. One star off for the bathrooms. Old, dark, cold with zero design effort. For a nearly $1000 dinner--the bathroom should be nice. Granted the food prices were fair-- but the drinks were very expensive. Food: Quite good except for a few picky items -- one star off for the Bolognese pasta. It was not tagliatelle & my boyfriend (who is an amazing at-home chef) felt cheated. He made Bolognese a couple days later because he couldn't shake his disappointment. He was right-- the taste & texture were off. Another star off for the following 2 items: The first 3 bacon wrapped scallops were amazing until they cooled off. The same can be said about the lobster ravioli. Eat fast if you want to enjoy all of it. The calamari was weak in taste-- excess breading doesn't make it better. The Bang Bang calamari is a popular item and needs to be tweaked to perfection. Bread dipping sauce was a disappointing marinara. Steaks cooked correctly. The asparagus was good. Chicken riggies as expected. The desserts were great! Vegetarian options: None. Parking: Drop your party off and hunt down parking. There's a supposed dedicated parking area for Francesca restaurant but we couldn't find. We got lucky with on street parking.

Everything was amazing

Their bacon-wrapped sea scallops were the best I've ever tasted. I had the grilled chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Hands down, the best Italian food, atmosphere, and service I've had in my life.

I felt the food was good, but not amazing for the price. The service was good and the ambience was good. . . if I had to chose an Italian restaurant in syracuse, I doubt I would chose this because I felt the price were almost close to twice the nominal price from other restaurants and I dint feel the food tasted that great!

Only giving it 3 stars because of the many times I’ve came here - yesterday’s visit started off disappointing. Not only were my party and I were early to our reservation by 5 mins but we were quoted that they’re 10-15 minutes behind. We got a drink at the bar and then 20 minutes passed and I of course went up just to check in because I haven’t received a text and we’re past the time the hostess/host quoted us for. This time, it was a different person up and it was the blonde woman. She was SO sarcastically annoying when I wasn’t even being rude, hostile, and just wanted to check in. Before the other host that took care of us first could say “yeah they were here for 745” it’s 8:10 at this point, the blonde woman smiled so fake and was exaggerating her words so much “SORRY WE ARE SUPER BUSY OKAY” and then rolled her eyes when I walked away. The condescending and fake exaggerated attitude was so uncalled for. The other host also just looked at her like ?? That left a bad taste as we were only checking in. God forbid we are 15 minutes late let alone 20.. we’ll be charged for our tardiness and our table wouldve been given up! Luckily, our server was the most wonderful and kind woman ever. Please note that our reservation was 7:45, we didn’t get our entree until 9:15 and we didn’t leave the restaurant until after 10, it was bizarre and like I said - if WE WERE LATE by over 20 minutes our table would’ve been given up and we would’ve been all charged with a fee.
