Went in with my family, sister had the chicken, collard greens and rice and it was all cold! The cocktails were weak! The waiter forgot my daughter fries and took forever bringing my sister her food back out and my daughter fries, they decided they didn’t want it. He wasn’t apologetic, didn’t offer any other options. It was disappointing because this place came with high reviews
Wait staff was very professional along with nice atmosphere. The only issue at hand was the watered down drinks .
The atmosphere was nice. The food was absolutely delicious. Catch of the day was fresh delicious catfish, the crab cake delicious, and the lamb meatballs was everything. I will be going back very soon. Our waiter was a kind helpful tall young man. Reservations are needed but it is possible to get seated early. We went on a Saturday not really busy.
Food was good took long to serve, so some of the food was cold. We had to get up and gey extra things ourselves. Like alot places today the decor is great.
Raw Chicken and Sour Strawberries Here.. #stayaway
We were very surprised this restaurant wasn't packed on a Saturday night. There were about 5 or 6 other tables sat in the entire place. We arrived at 8pm and spent about an hour and a half or so at 204 North. We were sat immediately, our server arrived about 5-10 minutes later to take our drink order (both my husband and I were able to use the restroom before he got to our table). Our drinks arrived after about another 5 minutes and we placed our appetizer order. This was around 815pm. We ordered the pork belly sliders. About 20 minutes into waiting for the appetizer, our server asked if we wanted to place our dinner order, we did. Our server was friendly and our drinks stayed full. Our appetizer finally arrived after 30 minutes at 845pm. The sliders had good flavor but the pork belly was overcooked. Our entrees arrived around 905pm. I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the filet. The salmon dish had great flavor but was a little overcooked. My husband ordered his filet medium, the temperature was correct. He said the filet was ok in flavor and he did not care for the mashed potatoes served with the filet. The pork belly sliders were $13, would have been worth it if they weren't over done. The salmon entree was $36, a respectable size piece a little overdone, the price can be justified. The filet entree was $51, a respectable size, ok in flavor and the side could have been better; hard to justify the price. Considering the small number of customers, I don't feel the appetizer should have taken 30 minutes to arrive, nor should have the entrees. Having 15 years experience working in the restaurant industry ourselves, these dishes should have taken no longer than 10-15 minutes each to prepare and serve. Accounting for the time it took to get our food, the average quality, and the prices it comes to no shock this restaurant wasn't busy. I'm glad we tried it but we won't be going back. Hopefully, this review helps this business make the changes it needs to be successful.
We scoured Instagram trying to find a new spot to check out, we decided on this location. It’s in a great location, near plenty of other bars And restaurants. 1 block from Blumenthal performing arts center. I parked in the garage for the Truist building, which was next door ($15 for about 3 hours, not bad) I started with the Amazing Grace cocktail, spiced rum/strawberry/peach/lime. It was tasty! ($16) and was a good amount! Not too strong! I pressed the Korean BBQ wings($13)- those were delicious! For my entree I ordered chicken fried chicken, I asked for the gravy to be on the side. Came with collard greens and pilaf rice—-it was just OKAY. They didn’t put the gravy on the side like I asked, I didn’t make a big deal about it. But I think I should have, I didn’t really care for the meal, I’m not a huge complainer, so I ate as much as I could, the collard greens were okay as well, nothing to write home about but decent. The rice was just okay, I gave my left overs to a homeless man.
New menu - they did away with a lot of favorites (rip burger at dinner and hot chicken)but in their place, only 5 entrees in total with two being steaks $42-51. But honnayyyy - queen mj is the highlight of any trip here and if you aren’t getting her for a server what are you even doing? I’ll probably only continue coming here for her and her only. Things I’d recommend of the new menu - crab cakes, deviled eggs, any salad with proteins and you know I love the truffle fries.. I’d personally skip pork belly next visit.
