Food is fantastic! Scallops were very well prepared and great flavors. Bar tender was great. Very well prepared cocktails and great service. Would highly recommend and will definitely go again.

I am bummed because this was my Dad's favorite restaurant (passed away in 2016) so we had to try it out. The atmosphere and service is 10/10. The value for the Tasting Menu in my opinion was bad, as we paid over $200 for our meal and I was still hungry when we left. Tasting menu has small portions, the second dish was a short rib inside pasta and it was literally bite size. I'm sure it's a lot of work to put together a 5 course meal but for $75 I could get a lot of tasty food elsewhere. If we ever go back I'll just order off the normal menu. Also, they didn't ask about food allergies, etc. and my pregnant wife was served raw fish for the first course. They made it right by taking $10 off the bill but it wasn't a great start to the meal.

Always a wonderful dinning experience in Omaha. Never anything but a terrific meal served professionally by knowledgeable servers. Best damn place to eat in Nebraska

I have visited V.Mertz many times now and without fail every time it is an absolute delight. The staff are wonderful, the food is always incredible and the atmosphere is perfect. It is my partner and I’s favourite date night spot, and I have yet to visit Omaha without eating here atleast once. The Foie gras is always a treat when it is on the menu, and my partners and I’s favourite dish. The bread service alongside is always fantastic and is a great start to a meal. I always end up ordering a steak, and this time has to be the best yet, the 6oz tenderloin was so good that as my partner was having the tasting menu I ordered a second course of the tenderloin to come out with one of her later dishes. V. Mertz never disappoints and is a beautiful gem in Omaha, and my partner and I’s favourite restaurant Parking: Plenty of street parking and plenty of nearby lots when street parking is taken

I might be getting more sentimental and sensible the older I get. I took a bite of the tenderloin, and I had a moment. An emotional moment nevertheless. Feeling so blessed, so special, so, so because my tastebuds, my mouth, was having an out this world, special kind of moment. I traveled a good chunk of the world, and this is by far, the best, BEST medium rare tenderloin steak I ever had. Not even blood running, almost dry, yet moist, no need for knife, fork alone is enough. Friends, go alone, don't cry in front of your partner . Kidding. This is the finest quality meat, and best cooking technique on steak I have experienced. The whole experience was better of a Michelin deserving establishment. Situated in a underground-like plaza, with cobblestone, bricks, glass, candles, ivies, servers, tables, atmosphere, service, quality and on, and on. You will not be disappointed, you will be changed forever, visit this place.

Stumbled upon this place about 4 years ago and it has become our favorite restaurant, ever! Service and food exceeds our expectations every time. We recommend the charcuterie board, bread service, and the New York strip! “Contains nuts” cocktail was one of the best I’ve ever had!

Second time coming here with my girlfriend and it was just as amazing as our first time. The tasting menu with the wine pairing was excellent, as was Joana our server/sommelier. My girlfriend ordered the scallops and they're the biggest Scallops I've ever seen, 2/3rds of a hockey puck no joke. Would rate 6 stars if I could.
