I loved the noodles and cozy atmosphere
Food was pretty good. The balance of nutrients and food content was thoughtful. The food felt overcooked and over charred in general. Would definitely try for the experience.
Incredibly expensive for what it is. 5 people, with sodas to drink, over $150.
Tried this kitchen at Graze. I got the hmong sausage and the hangover bowl. The sausage was good. Smaller than the hmong sausage I’m used to getting, but that’s not really a problem when it’s a side order. The pepper it was served with wasn’t spicy at all; but I know they have to serve what customers want. The bowl was really good. I got the hot green sauce to pour over it; definitely recommend doing that. The prices were higher than I expected, but consistent with prices of the other kitchens in Graze. I would like to try again and hopefully have a more star-deserving experience. If I do, I’ll update my review. I’m taking off a star for the non-spicy pepper and one for another complaint. I was the only person who ordered while I was there. They asked for my phone number, clarified my phone number, but didn’t notify me when my food was ready. I watched it sit on the counter for 5 minutes. I figured it must have been someone else’s food or they would have notified me, or gotten my attention (I was sitting like ten feet away and there was almost nobody else at Graze)
They have gone down to just soup/noodles. Made the trip for nothing.
This place is way too overhyped, along with being way too overpriced. Such a disappointing experience for something that has received so much publicity. The food was not good at all and portion sizes are laughable at best. To put it bluntly, the rave reviews are from unsuspecting people who don't know any better. The only positives are props for bringing exposure to the Hmong people, their food, and their customs. The location is also a good one. However, I would recommend you go somewhere else for an appetizing meal.
Not worth it...the serving size was very small for the price. Food tasted fine, but they shouldn't call the noodles udon when they absolutely were not.
