I ordered dinner for 4 at doordash on Saturday night, all the sushi and sashimi we received was perfect prepared, very fresh, definitely one of the best sushi place as displayed on doordash, will be back.
Food poisoning. This is what happened to me after eating just a little of the food I ordered from Umi. until I felt something wrong with the food. I had ordered a few things from this restaurant and The Salomon fish was spoiled. The avocado was Black!!!!! I have ordered the food around 7:45 pm 2 hours before closing. That is so obvious that the " person" who made the food was not into preparing food before closing. Be careful with your health! All the items I ordered were not fresh and were spoiled food!!!! have the receipt. Very disappointing
Still no dining-in option. Food is good-very good, but possibly not worth the price for what it is. Ordered the 2 roll lunch special and the yellow tail roll was over stuffed which in one sense is nice but also sloppy and ultimately messy. Also ordered a shrimp tempura roll, which I often get from other places, and it was chock full of lettuce. Yellow/white lettuce so not even super fresh. But also, who wants lettuce in their rolls?!?? Delivery services seem highly prized and prioritized over regular customers like me who call in their own order and actually go and pick it up themselves. Host taking my order told me “15 minutes.” I arrived exactly on time, my payment was immediately taken, AND THEN I was told it would be “a few more minutes.” A delivery driver came and got their (small) order in that time. When they finally acknowledged my presence again, I told the host that I wasn’t pleased with having to wait after I arrived on time and she said, “oh there was a large order ahead of you.” I tried to tell her that in that case she should have told me over the phone that it would take longer, but she walked away and let the door close on me before I was able to respond. So when she came back, I made that complaint and do you think she acknowledged it and offered a quick sorry? Nope, instead she insisted, “I said ABOUT 15 minutes,” which was a lie to defend herself. But more helpful would have been to just say sorry for the inconvenience. Instead they lost a costumer, and hopefully some of the rest of you who don’t want a poor/rude service experience.
Sushi is subpar, nothing special. I have done delivery orders from this place and the wait times are unreal. Prepare to wait well over 1.5hrs if you order on a busy night. They need to be more organized or stop accepting online orders if they can’t handle the volume. It’s unfair for both the drivers and customers to have to wait that amount of time.
For me, the sushi was about average.
I love the fried rice and also the sushi roll taste soooo good!
