The Loop - Minneapolis

Super fun place with a live DJ on Thur, Fri, and Sat nights. The main street, Washington Ave, has meters enforced until midnight, while those on side streets nearby are only until 6pm or 10pm. Parking: Meters.

The Loop is one of those “all around” establishments. During the day, they are open for daily lunches and dinners and it’s a variety of residents and office patrons. On the weekends, they clear out the area in front of the window and have a DJ with a small dance floor. It’s a great night life scene and their drinks are relatively affordable. And I believe during college football season, it turns into a Iowa Hawkeye bar which can be a lot of fun even if you’re not a Hawkeye fan.

In all my years of going places downtown I have never got color and age profiled. Got put out for no reason at all. They got mad because they fry everything together. Fries, seafood, chicken whatever they cook in the fryer goes together. They food tasted like seafood and we ordered chicken with fries. Anyone that has an allergy will definitely be sick. As far as being put out I had never experienced anything like this. Don't go here at night if you are young and of color. They will find any reason to put you out or harassment you because they want to. This is the worst place to spend your money. I worked in food service for 20 years and we used different fryers and oil for seafood due to it being one of the allergens. Your restaurant is going to kill someone using the same fryers for everything

I had Miranda as a server and she was great. Her fun energy and kind personality made my experience at the loop amazing. I will definitely be back to enjoy this fun and energetic spot.
