Steak tartar was the highlight and absolutely detectible!! Cocktails and beer were lovely. Service was excellent (thank you Sara!) and atmosphere cozy. Our main dishes were a little less mind blowing than the small-dish starters... One was rich but really toooo rich, making it heavier than is enjoyable, while the other entree had outstanding flavors that didn't quite blend as they should... Sharp and tangy beets, grilled cauliflower and minerally fish not melding quite right. The flavors didn't create a symphony, but also kept me intrigued... maybe it has to grow on me? All in all a very good experience and we'll definitely be back to try more original recipes. Happy this unique dining experience exists so nearby.
I absolutely love this place. The food is amazing and proportioned right. The wait staff is great. And the place has a great vibe to it. Highly recommend Tilia for brunch.
fantastic food and atmosphere, best food i’ve eaten since moving back to minneapolis in 2020. butternut squash soup: delicious, flavorful, light. a little heavy on the sunflower seeds but still a great dish. beet salad: wonderful. loved the presentation, dressing and panko bread crumbs. seafood pasta: surprising and delightful. the lemongrass pomodoro sauce was out of this world. dreamy flavor combo i won’t soon forget. a little light on the seafood. generous portion of pasta. drinks and dessert were good too but those three dishes were the standouts. can’t wait to go back. Vegetarian options: veg options present on every section of the menu, and there was a cauliflower main dish that looked very interesting.
Best brunch in the twin cities!!! Kid-friendliness: They offer lunch boxes full of toys, for kids!
