Very disappointing. The food was incredibly bland. The “sautéed shrimp” eggs Benedict was definitely not sautéed, but just heated up small frozen shrimp, slathered in a fake-lemon tasting Cisco packaged hollandaise sauce, served over cheap English muffins. The side of bacon was 2 1/2 small pieces of rubbery bacon. The omlet was very strange. The eggs were almost fake looking, they looked like a picture from dennys menu, and had a terrible “Pam” taste. We cannot get the taste of this food out of our mouths. Both of us couldn’t wait to get home to brush our teeth, as well as wash our clothes because they are now infused with the smell of this place. We were really looking forward to going out to breakfast, but this meal was a disappointing waste of consumed calories. Coffee was like drinking warm brown water. Plus the prices are outrageous, we spent $50+$10 tip for terrible breakfast. Definitely not the old Golden Egg. It should be noted that most of the reviews on here are for the OLD Golden Egg. This is a different restaurant that just happens to have the same name. Service was very friendly.
I was sceptical of coming to a modern building but was pleasantly surprised. The food and smiling wait staff was spot on. Sitting in the booth was comfy and the acoustics were such that conversations were relaxed without having to talk over others. The coffee scored big points too. Highly recommended. Oh very reasonable prices taboot!
