I called in a pickup order for molten chocolate truffle cake for $13.50. I got a small chocolate cake, NO CARmel sauce, and 2 ounces or 4 TBSP of ice cream. What a ripoff.
This place is a gem through and through. The service is impeccable - professional, warm, delightful from the host all the way up the chain. The food is creative and well executed. The space and environment is really interesting, historic, and whimsical. It was my first visit. I had a fabulous time. Highly recommend this place.
Great atmosphere and the drinks are quality. If you are lucky you can get put in the back room. It has a nice gangster kinda feel. Food would totally be a 5 if you skip ordering the deviled eggs, they are hard to forget.
Niche cocktails with a good blend of chef inspired dishes. Go with friends and share duck wings until you drop.
Came in for an early dinner with a reservation, and was greeted warmly when we walked in. We sat at a corner table with a great view of the restaurant. Our waitress shared with us the history of the building after we shared how beautiful of a space it is. Their happy hour menu is one of the best in the city, and we were excited to try several things on the menu. We got the deviled eggs, bocce rolls, pea salad, pastrami wontons, the tator tot casserole and the Mac and cheese. Everything was incredible except I was disappointed in the Mac and cheese. Per the online menu (I didn't even look at the menu when we got there, since I had planned out everything I wanted to try), it was supposed to be a jalapeno popper Mac and cheese and what we got was a buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. I was mildly disappointed, as I was hoping for the former as our selection, but what we received was lacking in execution. The chicken didn't taste fresh, the sauce was too thin and this resulted in bland flavor and lack of cohesiveness. Thankfully we were getting full on the other items. Beautiful restaurant, great service, loved the beer selection.
We went for Happy Hour before a show at the Fox Theater. What a great way to try several options from the menu. Cocktails were good, although a bit pricey if not on HH. Enjoyed the chili, bocce balls, roasted squash soup, carrot salad & orang/cranberry sorbet.
The worst service of any place ever. Had a reservation and was able to be seated promptly and then sat there for 40 minutes with nobody acknowledging us one bit. So we chose to leave and the staff did not care at all
