The Bird at Birtle

We had a great dinner with colleagues. Really enjoyed it. Staff was good and cooperative. Amazing atmosphere.

Went here for Sunday roast and it was excellent.The restaurant's interior was moden with lots of glass and wooden beams.The restaurant was upstairs which looked out onto green pastures with big bi folding doors which would be welcome in warmer weather. My wife and I had 2 courses (£26) and we both opted for the beef roast dinner (chicken and lamb the other options) and a dessert. The roast dinner was exceptional with (for me) the roast potatoes the best I've had for ages conjuring past meals made by my mother with just the right amount of blackening to them. The beef was beautiful (although the knife provided wasn't great st cutting it) and the gravy was very flavoursome albeit a bit thin for my liking. Service was excellent from the staff. All in all though a very enjoyable meal and I will be returning. Just be aware there is only about 20 car parking spaces available at the rear and it gets busy so you may have to find alternative parking.

My friends and I always have our birthday celebrations at The Bird. The food and service is always spot on. But tonight was even better. Our server was Josh. He was delightful. Thanks for making my 60th birthday very special xx

Really beautiful place portions are great and the menu is always changing. Great spot for a lovely date night. Parking: Parking at the front of the restaurant and the rear Kid-friendliness: Children were present at the time of our meal I would say only take older children 10+ Wheelchair accessibility: The ground level to the restaurant has no stair access so perfect if someone uses a chair.

Beautiful food, friendly staff and a lovely setting Dietary restrictions: I am coeliac and the staff were knowledgeable about which dishes were suitable and which could be adapted.

Excellent service and lovely staff. The food was really good although we had a slight issue with one dish but they went above and beyond to make things more than right, so it strangely ended up being a positive. Can highly recommend. Parking: Parking out front and a small carpark at the rear.
