Pad Thai is very different and good. Yellow curry is also good as expected, but fried tofu is buttered so it's extra yummy.
I had a strong craving for a light, clear seafood soup, so I called Thai Monkey Restaurant to inquire about their options. Despite clearly specifying my preference for a clear soup with seafood, I was assured they had just the thing: tom yum soup. They quoted a price of $12 for a large size, and I eagerly placed my order over the phone. However, upon delivery, I was shocked to find that they had charged me $20 instead of the agreed-upon $12, citing an additional $8 charge for seafood, which was never mentioned during our phone conversation. Even more disappointing was the soup itself. Instead of the clear, fragrant broth I had anticipated, it was drowning in red oil and spices, so much so that it resembled a curry more than a soup. To add insult to injury, the seafood consisted of fried fish strips, an unconventional and unsuitable choice for a soup. The overpowering sourness and excessive oiliness left me feeling betrayed and unsatisfied. While I've enjoyed tom yum soup in the past, what Thai Monkey Restaurant served was a far cry from the authentic dish I had hoped for.
They won’t let you dine in 15 till nine and their sign said they close at 10 and they’re very rude
Enjoyed a good lunch. Lots of variety at reasonable prices. The green papaya salad was perfect and I enjoyed the roast duck.
delicious! its one of my favorite local spots. if you havnt tried this place then do it
I ordered pick up with pad thai, drunken noodle and tomkha. Others 2 is okay but tomkha is over salty, feel like they poured all salt they have in the kitchen I had to throw away..
Strip mall location is by no means fancy, but food is wonderful.
