Was my go to. I was shocked when they said $18 for a teriyaki chicken. Garlic sauce is good but I can't justify this price for chicken thighs and rice. I will start making more and freezing at home. Yikes. Basic living gets more unaffordable everyday.
Here’s an expanded version:
The sauce is not integrated with the chicken during cooking; it's simply added on top after. While the meat itself is of decent quality, the service is subpar. If you pay close attention, you’ll notice small but telling signs of neglect or lack of care. I’ve visited on three different occasions, all around noon, and each time the experience was consistently underwhelming in terms of service. Despite how busy it gets, don’t let the crowd mislead you—it’s not necessarily a reflection of quality. Personally, I’d prefer to spend my money at Ivar’s, where the experience is more consistent and satisfying overall.
So good!! Ordered a number 2 spicy garlic chicken! Awesome taste is very well balanced, not to spicy, teriyaki is not over powering very good!
You guys should definitely start serving fried rice, I loved that fried rice!
The beef short rib is awesome!
*** I walked into the restaurant yesterday, and I had not been there for quite some time. The first thing I noticed was HOW EXPENSIVE a SIMPLE Teriyaki with RICE Dish was! It was $15.55! That does not include tax! SERIOUSLY, HOW can one justify this cost for a small-medium sized dish? I have never seen any Teriyaki dish cost this much before. Finally, the person who served me was unfriendly and NEVER notified me when my meal was ready to eat. I will never return there. ***
Stopped by with my kids and husband for a quick bite and we were pleasantly impressed with their teriyaki. So light and fulfilling.
I'm done with this restaurant it was closest teriyaki near where I live but They burned the meat add rice or not cooked every time I ordered and the last time order the food Talking on my cell phone next thing I see they given my food to someone else they had me to wait for almost 40 minutes .
Unbelievable how they do business with people
No clue how the food tastes. Stood at the register for a couple of minutes and no one came to take my order, looks to be under staffed. Have another teriyaki place in East Renton Highlands that I go to but was in the area, sad this didn't work out.
One of my go-to places for Koreanized teriyaki in Washington or anywhere. This place is the home of the, "crack-sauce." This garlicky, creamy sauce is originally on salad but can be paired with almost anything. You can substitute this where ranch dress can navigate.
Parking in this stripmall can be done but it's busy and there are a lot of walkers and drivers.
Food comes out fast and the portions are solid for this area and for what you are paying.
I usually take my food to go, you're not going there for the atmosphere.
Fun fact, they have "fake" Japanese bento dishes that you can purchase as well as some vending machines for little toys.
Midas 5-stars for the clean food and fast service.
Beef and chicken teriyaki combo is really good!
Love this place!
My recent visit was a mixed experience. While there were some positive aspects, there are also areas that could use significant improvement.
Tasty Food: The highlight of my visit was the food. The teriyaki chicken was flavorful and well-cooked, with a nice balance of sweetness and savory notes in the sauce. The portion size was generous, and the meal was satisfying. The accompanying rice was well-cooked and complemented the teriyaki well. Additionally, the vegetable stir-fry was fresh and provided a nice variety of textures.
Service: The service was friendly but somewhat inconsistent. While the staff were polite and made an effort to ensure we were comfortable, there were noticeable delays in taking our order and delivering the food. During peak hours, the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, which affected the overall dining experience.
Ambiance: The ambiance of the restaurant is casual and comfortable, suitable for a quick meal or casual dining with friends and family. However, the decor and seating could use some updating to enhance the overall dining atmosphere. The cleanliness of the dining area was acceptable but could be improved, especially during busier times when tables were not promptly cleared and cleaned.
Value for Money: While the food was decent, the pricing felt a bit on the higher side for the quality and overall experience. Offering more value-for-money options or meal deals could attract more customers and improve the dining experience.
Areas for Improvement: There are several areas where Teriyaki Bistro could improve. Firstly, enhancing the speed and efficiency of service would significantly improve the dining experience. Secondly, updating the interior decor and seating arrangements could make the restaurant more inviting and comfortable. Finally, ensuring consistent cleanliness, especially during peak hours, would create a more pleasant environment for diners.
Convenient Location: On the positive side, Teriyaki Bistro is conveniently located in Sammamish with ample parking, making it easily accessible for a quick meal. The location is a definite plus for local residents looking for a convenient dining option.
In summary, it offers decent food with friendly service, but there are several areas that need improvement. With enhancements in service efficiency, interior updates, and better value for money, it has the potential to provide a much better dining experience.
Really good tofu teriyaki. I enjoyed the big portion and the garlic sauce was super good. Great for a quick lunch.
We both got basic teriyaki chicken. It was just that. Basic, and overpriced. It made both of us sick. We spent the next day miserable, and will never go back.
The food was well portioned and tasted very good, I cant get enough of salmon.
What a wonderful experience! They gave me the free sauce! I know there’s a bunch of teriyaki joints here in the PNW, but why not just go here? Good food dudes!
