When you are in Tartufo, you truly feel the European warmth and elegance in service, food quality and atmosphere! Happy this wonderful restaurant is right in the heart on Newton! Special compliments go to Anna, the owner, and Chris, the manager! Best wishes for many successful years! Best, Natasha Sky
The food tasted good but the ratios were horrendous. Kid-friendliness: The portions were sized for a kid.
Good ambiance the food has good taste the servers always are polite, good option for events, meetings and parties.
The food was very good and everything went well until the end. My mom was visiting and invited us (4 people). She asked me to write the tip amount and, as it was not my own money, I went thrifty (unconsciously) so the tip was a bit below average. When we were leaving the server asked us if everything was ok. I did not get it at the beginning but then I realized he did that most likely because of the tip. It really ruined the whole experience and I believe it was rude. When I first went to Tartufo I tipped above average because it was my own money and the experience was great. But that kind of behavior from the servers can really hurt a restaurant. I would have rated 4.5 or above if had not had this experience at the end of our meal.
Came for a valentines dinner and it was DIVINE. Grateful for delicious food from start to finish and lovely, thoughtful service.
Used to dine at Tartufo’s a few times per month pre pandemic. Returned last nite. Definitely not the same: 2 of my previously favorite dishes were bland (grilled calamari and Orecchiette) Wrong order delivered to the table. When my wife said “this isn’t mine” waitress responded I know but no apology. Upstairs atmosphere feels like a function room unlike downstairs seating. Much better value/atmosphere/service at Vinotta in Waltham or Davio’s in Chestnut Hill.
Enjoyed a very nice meal with my friends on THU night. Great attentive service.
