Best staff and service in uptown. The food is so good and looks amazing. Vegetarian options: One, if not the best vegan menus in mpls!
This place is spectacular. A friend brought me in to get some herbs to make some tea and first aid salves. I had NO IDEA how neat of a spot this truly is. There is a cafe in the front on the main level, that had thee most delicious smells permeating the entire space. Acend a spiral staircase beyond the cafe, and you'll discover a plethora of not only culinary spices and herbs, but a lengthy wall stocked with jar after jar of varying plant leaves and seeds, ground and whole herbs, and a host of other natural products one would find in such a particular place. Countless ingredients to create an endless list of beneficial health and wellness items, including teas, tinctures, salves, balms, and ointments. Natural medicine at its finest! I was incredibly impressed and beyond delighted upon taking it all in. And after all the glory of the bulk herbs and like commodities, there is a gift shop/emporium of some fun , kitchy things, alongside varying prepackaged natural healrh remedies and wellness aides. Additionally, they carry educational and instructional materials to aquire the skills to create the aforementioned remedies/aides for oneself. This place is a goldmine in terms of goodness one can aquire there. Not to mention, the excellent customer service I received while I visited. I inquired about a culinary item and they did not carry it. The clerk offered to take my number down and contact me if and when they got some in stock. Above and beyond and I'm a customer for life, now. Kudos and thank you for what you're providing to our community. Highly recommend!
Really cramped space. Food is overpriced for the small quantity. I got the buckwheat pancakes, very basic & plain, nothing to write home about, to add single egg costs +$2.50. However, the Sun Potion is delicious & the staff are really nice! My total was about $25 (plus tip). I won't be coming back though.
This cafe has an almost cabin-like feeling on the interior. The service was excellent and I really enjoyed the "radiance" smoothie/juice that I had. They also have a small shop within the cafe.
Super small portions for $28 Dietary restrictions: They respected my food allergies
Absolutely love this place - Delicious Food, Great Vegan Options, Employees are very kind and chill, Love that it also has a little herb/supplement and crystal type shop attatched to it. Definitely a new favourite spot, I will be coming here for the rest of my time living in the Twin Cities!
This place is one of my go-tos for healthy, homemade, organic and natural food. One of the gems of our city. Love Tao Foods!
This place is fantastic and feels like you’re hanging out at a Spa. The ambiance, staff, and herbal store all feel peaceful and restorative. The food is clearly healthy (the desserts of course have some sugar) and you feel good after eating. We had avocado toast and the curry bowl which went down so quick and easy I forgot to take pictures. The coffee (Americanos) was perfect, the service was welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and there was a sense of community there which felt genuine. We can’t wait to go back especially for Thursday Date Night which is (as of 2024) 2 entrees, 2 glasses of Wine, and a dessert for $45. Spectacular deal for healthy food!! Dietary restrictions: Tons of options for every allergy Parking: Can be tricky but there are side streets off of Hennepin
Such a cute place! Went to have breakfast with a friend and we both loved our food, Great place if you’re gluten intolerant. Very friendly service as well!
Been going here for 30 years. Love the whole vibe of the place. Food is simple, tasty, and healthy. Upstairs they have bulk herbs for sale. I have also taken a couple of classes here. Love this place. In photos: Tao Bowl with tofu and the Earth Potion tea
