Best food ever in the US. ! Very caring and friendly stuff
Great service with great servers, food was pretty awesome and drinks were great. The best thing was the atmosphere, the decor and mood was very asthetic and it would be great for dates or just hanging out Kid-friendliness: Probably not the best place for kids under 11, it would ruin the vibe for others
Decor had a funky goth vibe. It was very unexpected for an Italian restaurant. It was extremely cool. Seating is comfortable and well spaced. The portions were huge. The food was yummy. The tomato sauce was chunky and well seasoned. Maybe a needed dash more salt. The Wednesday Adams drink was unique and delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive. The time from ordering to receiving our meal was slow, but not a big deal. The only thing taking away a star was the music. It was so loud we couldn't have a conversation at the table. The volume was appropriate for a bar, but a nice dining establishment.
I was invited out to Sweet Basil, and my experience there was beyond all of my expectations. The vintage decor draws you right in. The staff was so attentive, friendly, and efficient. For our meal, we sampled the beet borsch, the bread service with freshly made pesto, the risotto of the day packed with fresh veggies and flavor, and our entrees were equally delicious. My husband had the special which was the sea bass with mashed potatoes and glazed baby carrots. I sampled the octupus ragu which was excellent. The octopus was tender, and the pasta was perfect. We decided to share the flan topped with coconut, with coffee. If your looking for a fine culinary experience find time to enjoy this magnificent restaurant. I am so pleased that we did. Enjoy! , .
For some reason I always think this place is a Thai restaurant. The name and the atmosphere seem to reflect that. However its Italian....and very good.
Be prepared to wait looong even if you’ve made reservations
