Great spot for Indian food in Baton Rouge

Finally tried this place for date night and it’s amazing. The lamb biryani, lamb curry, dosa and cauliflower appetizers were so good! High quality and clean spot. I love that it’s an old Pizza Hut.

Happily Editing again: They must have called the old owners or something bc they fixed it! Food is good again and comes with Naan. So relieved Editing my previous 5 star review: Swagat was sold to a new owner. The food quality declined significantly AND the price went up. Straight up: it's bland as hell. New owners should call up the old owners and beg for their recipes. Id pay more for the OLD swagat but def not worth the price now. I left my previous review below for reference. Im switching back to Bay leaf since its the same price and much better tasting. "Best Indian food in baton rouge. Cheaper than bay leaf and entrees come with naan. I eat here several times per month. My favorite restaurant in BR by a long shot."

Food is great, service is good, and atmosphere is lovely. My fiancé and come here at least twice a month.
