My husband and I made reservations and went to Sullivan‘s to celebrate my 50th birthday. Never in my 50 years have I had such a poor dining experience, particularly offensive because we let them know it was my 50th birthday. From beginning to end this restaurant made extremely offensive, cavalier mistakes. The hostess was on a personal phone call when we entered and continued to talk on the phone for 10 minutes while we stood in front of her waiting to be seated (perhaps that should have been our first clue of what was to come). Our server, Matt, treated us as if he couldn’t care less about our experience despite knowing that it was an important birthday. The shrimp cocktail appetizer used to consist of very large shrimp but on this night the shrimp were the size of shrimp scampi. We ordered two entrées and two side dishes and only received the entrees and NO sides. Because everybody wants to eat a piece of fish with nothing to go with it right? Trying to get Matt’s attention to let him know our side dishes were missing took 20 minutes in a restaurant with only three tables of guests. Matt consistently ignored us and gave all of his attention to another table so close we could hear him laughing and socializing with them while ignoring us. It was my birthday and I wanted to have a lovely experience so I ate my fish with no side dishes and my husband and I did our best to get past it and have a good time. 20 more minutes passed before Matt returned to our table and I kid you not he brought the bill without ever asking us if we wanted anything else, including dessert, or apologizing for his many mistakes. I looked at him and I said it’s my birthday I would like to have dessert he looked at me like I had two heads and stormed off annoyed. By this point I was so upset I couldn’t contain the tears. On any day you expect a restaurant of caliber to provide you a nice dining experience but particularly on your birthday and especially on your 50th birthday. As tears streamed down my face Matt sent the manager over who looked appalled at the experience we had and the look on his face said it all. When told of our servers attention to the other table and forgetting most of our food, combined with it being a 50th birthday, he almost cried himself. He was speechless. I don’t think he could believe that anybody could treat people that way, particularly when it’s HIS JOB not to. The manager comped our bill he was so disgusted and brought out dessert himself. We will never return to Sullivan’s and we cannot recommend that anybody dine here, especially if you’re celebrating an important event. We could have chosen to eat anywhere on this special day and we chose Sullivan’s who did nothing but treat us as if we didn’t matter. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we walked out we were treated less than. Do yourself a favor and opt for one of the many other local restaurants who treat you as if you matter and are interested in providing an exceptional dining experience.
First and by far most of all, we would like to Thank Joe and David for making our Anniversary so special!! Joe had everything set up, flowers, card and table. David provided excellent service. Very attentive and amazing food!! We would recommend 100% not just for Anniversaries but for casual dining also! Thanks so much for such a wonderful experience!!
For my Son’s special birthday, we had delicious Cheesesteak Eggrolls and yummy Banana Foster Bread Pudding. The cheesesteak eggrolls had quality tender juicy beef, with rich, gooey, cheese, and crispy shells with tasty zingy sauces on the side! And the banana foster bread pudding was rich and creamy, but yet very light and flavorful of banana. We will have food from Sullivan’s again. Service was excellent!!! Thank you for making this very special day a special memory of great food!!!
Anniversary Dinner with my wife. Servers were excellent food was very good! Great time always! The rose pedals on the table was a nice added touch!...... RETURNED February 13,2024. Unlike any experience that we have had there before. We have gone many of times always excellent service.By far not the case February 13th. Highly disappointed WILL NOT RETURN. .
Stopped in for our valentines day lunch. CJ was our server, he was very pleasant, and a good server. Stuff shrimp was very good and the burger. Crab bisque as appetizer. Week bd back to try the pineapple vodka in 2 weeks.
The wait staff is great but the experience is definitely not like it used to be. Ordered a specific steak, was brought something completely different and then charged more for the steak I didn't order. To top it all off, another couple in the next booth listened to music at full volume on their phone for a majority of our meal. Management didn't address it at all. Not what I expect when I'm spending $300+ for my wife and I to enjoy a "high end" steakhouse.
Incredible food, great atmosphere, impeccable service. I highly recommend. Vegetarian options: Food is cooked to order. Dietary restrictions: Food is cooked to order. Parking: Nice big open parking lot. Kid-friendliness: Definitely food dishes, Is four dollar signs, Might be a little pricey to bring the kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Open floor plan easily accessible for wheelchairs.
Went last night 2/15/24 for Valentine’s Day dinner. Our reservation was for 7pm. We were not seated until after 7:45. This appeared to be a reoccurring issue as the line by the hostess stand was out the door. While the hostess was very pleasant, the assistant manager actively avoided discussing the long wait time with angry patrons and blamed the issue on open table. Once seated, it took over 20 minutes to receive menus or water. Once we did receive the menus, it was easily another 45 minutes for the food to come out. The food was mediocre at best. However, the server was very nice and obviously overwhelmed. The sole urinal in the men’s room was also overflowing the entire time. I brought this to managements attention on two different occasions and nothing was done.
