Solea Restaurant and Tapas Bar

I've been here a handful of times over the post-covid years and the food is NEVER disappointing. The only "quirk" I have experienced multiple times dining here is almost every time I've eaten here I either get one wrong items or an item that I ordered never came, which I only find out after waiting for the other items to come out. However, everything is so good I sometimes end up being too full to eat it anyway. I will say that I was disappointed by my recent visit where I made a reservation and the hostess did ask me for it but evidently never marked us as having showed up in their OpenTable system since I got an email later that night that said: "Your reservation has been cancelled by the restaurant." I tried to call the day after to make sure I wasn't put on a "no-show" list since I have a copy of the check as proof of our dining experience, but I do not see any changes reflected in my account history as of today 10 days later, despite reaching someone via phone and asking them to see if they could fix it. Place is lovely and full of warmth and meals were abundant and delicious, our waitress was the best

2020 (pre-covid) Excellent selection of tapas, great drinks. Warmly decorated, comfortable restaurant and bar area. 2023 returned for an excellent dinner. Tapas dishes were delicious, service excellent, plenty of water refills. Lovely dining decor. 2024 Excellent. Quiet evening

From birthdays, to engagements, and baby showers, solea has always been our favorite place to gather as a family or share an intimate night out. Our favorite tapas are limo de buey a las frutas, Albania’s de Cordero - sauces so good I always take it home. Solea is a must for authentic tapas and a fun night out!

Honest review: I went here a couple weeks ago and met a friend for dinner, We ordered about 4 different tapas dishes and drinks. The service was not good and disappointing. We ordered a second round of tapas and we were waiting about 20 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes for our second order, the server came over and told us that he forgot what we ordered. After waiting and when we got our second order with the tostadas, it was cold and we weren't a fan of it. The hostess/ manager came over to ask us how we like it. We were honest and told her that we didn't like the tostadas and she said that she can have the server take it off our bill. The server cam back and told us that we couldn't get it taken off our bill because we ate half of it. (This information was misleading.) The server then took it away without asking if we still wanted it and we were still charged for the dish on the bill. We unfortunately had a disappointing experience. About a week later I decided to call the resturant to talk to the manager to give them feedback. The manager did listen to my feedback and was open to it. I was told again by the manager that I could be reimbursed for the dish and I gave them my name and card info. I was hopeful and patient for the reimbursement to show up on my card. I waited for the reimbursement to show up on my card and I never got the reimbursement. I will not be coming back to this resturant. There are other tapas restaurants I rather go to. I would not recommend based on the service. Thumbs down.

It's been a while since I've been here. The menu is a little different and apparently it's under new ownership but everything is still fantastic.

We had a great night here a couple of weeks ago. There are tables outside, but we sat inside by the window and had a great view of the activity on Moody street. We ordered a bottle of wine and then 2 rounds of various tapas. Servers were attentive with water and we look forward to going back.

Solea is always a wonderful treat. Everything on their menu is delicious.
