This place was so "downtown", it was a place for dressing up and taking pictures. Unfortunately, a few dishes fell flat for me. BUT the crispy rice was INSANE. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! We had extraordinary service by Alex at the bar and super tasty sushi and drinks. We were surprised to find out that Alex was new to bartending because he was freaking EXCELLENT. The food is delicious, the ambiance/vibe is fantastic… so do yourself a favor and head to this place as fast as you can. Cheers!

Pretty disappointed all together. Will not be back. Restaurant itself has a pretty cool outdoor area to eat street side. Restaurant was not busy, yet they could only find one menu for us. Finally the waitress brought a second one for all of us to share. That was odd. We ordered mixed drinks and they were not good. I don’t mind paying $20 for a drink, but it has to be drinkable. Waitress never clued in to us ordering different drinks right after our initial drink order with having one sip of each of them. Sushi was sub-par and our hot food (pad Thai, lettuce wraps, and dragon chicken) just not good. Service pretty bad too. One lady trying to handle the bar and the tables while 2-3 people standing at the host stand. Again…I don’t mind paying $200 for good food and service…but was pretty disappointed all around. I do not recommend and would hate anyone else to choose this place and receive the experience we did. Lots of better places around.

The vibe in this restaurant is nice. The manager was accommodating when we first arrived. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing and the service was super slow. After we all received our first drink, we were there an hour without having anyone check on us. That was our one and only drink. We decided to leave, but then waited 20 minutes to get our bill. There was one person taking orders and checking customers out and one person making drinks for the entire restaurant. Other staff could be seen leaning on the counter and talking to each other. The manager wasn't inside helping customers who were waiting. He was sitting out front of the restaurant on a chair relaxing. We won't be back.

Great experience for dinner…excellent meal and service!

Went here between shows. It was conveniently located across from theatre square parking garage for my handicap dad to easily walk to. They had wonderful brick oven Japanese bbq, sushi, salads and delicious Asian fare. Server was great. Atmosphere hip with open air access. We really enjoyed our time there!

Cool place with a cool vibe. Great service. Pricing seemed ok as well. I only ordered one thing, the chef special. It was a perfect portion sized and quite good. I will get it again. My only question mark on the whole experience is the name of the restaurant. Fans of Kurt Vonnegut might not find the name appealing.

Service awesome. Atmosphere awesome... food is nothing to write home about... ehh....

Ordered several small plates and was disappointed in each one more than the last. The broccoli tempura was half a bag of frozen broccoli that had been flash fried. The spicy tuna roll had a strange honey mustard drizzle. Lettuce wraps were the only passable thing we ordered. $10 beers, $14 drinks and half the unappetizing food left uneaten. I don’t understand how this place stays open.

we were not aware we needed a reservation to dine here. when asking for a table we were dismissed as “they did not have a table for us”. at no point were we given a wait time for a possible open table.

Sushi. Tough chewy nori with tons of rice and a piece of microscopic salmon. Short rib meal had burnt short ribs, undercooked noodles all swimming in a plate of oil. I choked it down to be polite. So tired of bad food in this city.

I've dined at Social House 7 multiple times and have had amazing food and service every time and my most recent visit did not disappoint. I ordered the miso glazed salmon and the short rib off the robata grill. Let's just say the food was absolutely amazing to the point I am craving it again the very next day! I highly recommend stopping by for dinner when downtown. I'm already planning my next visit.

I came there to celebrate my bday. Seven and the staff were so accommodating and nice. Food was delicious, drinks were on point. One of the best experiences in Pittsburgh. Thank you

We got the Godzilla roll and it was so good, warm, crunchy, crispy, and fresh. Drinks were STRONG we had a gift card from years ago and they honored it for us. Will definitely come back soon!

Got scammed. Had a party of 5 for my friends birthday. We got charged a “large party fee” of 20%. We didnt know until after we paid and tipped on the total she gave us. We asked for receipts and thats how we found out. So she ended up getting 40%+ tips, which i don’t mind, if i’m willingly doing it, I served many years in the restaurant industry. Menu was limited to sushi and robata, so beware of that when making a reservation for 9 or later. Asked for medium steak and it was very much well and chewy. Supposed to be Waygu, it was a skirt steak at best. Stick to the sushi. Very aesthetic place. Good drinks. Ask for paper receipt before agreeing to pay on handheld.

Raya was an excellent server. Very helpful. Food was unique and very flavorful. Short ribs, bang bang shrimp and golden curry were all delicious. Place had a funky and fun atmosphere.

A beautiful Resturant with great atmosphere. Had a unique menu. Nice cocktails and flavorful food. Our waitress explained the menu options and provided recommendations. We ordered a variety of dishes mainly from the Social part of the menu. These are bowls that come with rice. The Veggie Stir fry and sushi were amazing! Will definitely be back to sample more options.
