Sammy's Italian Pizza Kitchen

Excellent place for a casual lunch or dinner. A great selection of Italian favorites. Start with the garlic knots! Good pizza and a great selection of pasta. Beer and wine are available also. The staff is friendly and service is quick. Worth a visit!

Food is not good

It’s always great food, but Sams has the best meatball sandwiches in this area in this world. I’m never unhappy. Awesome. Awesome, his meatballs and subs are like my grandma made in New York.:)

Fantastic! Our favorite; Salmon vodka, salads, pizza, impeccable.

I have eaten here several times via carry out but mostly via Door Dash delivery. The food is good. I have only tried the pizza once (good). Other foods to recommend are house salad with salmon or shrimp, crispy chicken salad, lasagna, & mozzarella sticks. The crab italiano was good, just too spicy for my taste. But to their credit they made it for me on another occasion with non spicy sauce. I typically don’t like the garlic bread as it doesn’t have much flavor. I also wish they offered desserts. I would recommend trying their food if you haven’t yet. Vegetarian options: Many options including pizza, appetizers, soups, salads, calzone, pasta, etc. Parking: They are located in a shopping center with lots of parking.

Recently, I have been invited to join friends or family at the Blue Dolphin for lunch or dinner. The food was delicious, especially the stuffed flounder with ample amount of crabmeat in a perfectly grilled flounder filet. The staff is polite and helpful. The restaurant’s decor could be updated. I’ve been in the large party room which adequately held our party as well as a gift table and birthday cake. The chairs and furniture were well-worn. The setting was cafeteria style not festive even with party table cloths and balloons. There’s a party room downstairs which is better suited for a large gathering. Tables can be arranged so that the guests can see one another and the guest of honor. If the menu and service are your main concerns, you will be delighted in any room at the Blue Dolphin. If you want to decorate and create a special vibe, ask for the lower level room.

Really nice atmosphere and decor. Pizzas were good, but not as crisp in the center as we prefer.(I had read a review that raved about the pizza not being floppy). We were there on a Saturday evening, Navy game weekend. They were very busy, but had tables available and were doing a brisk takeout business.
