First time here. I wasn't sure about this place since I got a favorite ramen place near where i live. Ordered the spicy miso - it comes with a ball of a spicy paste that you break up. I suggest breaking it down thoroughly if you want it spicy or you will miss out. Soup was good, but what really elevated it was the chashu. It was incredible: juicy with a seared taste and wonderfully seasoned. Service was just fine. No one was rude to me but they weren't that attentive. It isn't that big a deal, not with how great the meal was.
Host could not be bothered to do his job. Acted annoyed that I asked about picking up my order and then had me walk through a cramped and crowded restaurant because he was too busy talking to his friend to do so himself.
If you're looking for an authentically Japanese-style ramen joint in DC, you've found it! The ramen here is excellent. They serve both traditional ramen and locally-inspired dishes. There are a couple of fusion ramen options as well (like Bulgogi). Highly recommend.
Great food. And great environment. We stopped by while visiting DC and was very impressed
This was a good place to eat at!
Best ramen noodles I have ever had, visiting from London and truly enjoyed the food. I had the pork belly baps too, so delicious!
Still one of my favorite ramen joints in town. My favorite is Tonkatsu red. I usually ask for a level 7 spice level and that is legit spicy. Often packed but worth the wait if you need noodle soup comfort food.
Took a chance and deviated from our normal favorite DC ramen place. Walked in right at opening time and the place was already filling up. This was a great sigh of what was to come. Had an amazing ramen today. The ladies in the kitchen were very gracious and the ramen was delicious. This place is a gem. The chashu is fantastic as well as the thin noodles and broth. The egg was cooked to perfection. It was so good, we ordered a second ramen to take back to North Carolina. A perfect remedy to a cold snowy morning.
