Ruiji Sichuan Cuisine

Ruiji is a great visit for authentic Sichuan cuisine. They have some of the normal western dishes, but also some more authentic items you wouldn’t find at other Chinese restaurants. My friend got the General Tso and it was good, but a little on the sweet side for me. I prefer more savory and spicy when I order this dish. I got the Sichuan Popcorn Chicken. It was nice and spicy, salty, and savory with garlic and a nice amount of sichuan pepper and red chilis. I hope to try other dishes when I visit again.

really good authentic Sichuan food

Ive been to restaurants with numbing effect before but usually they let u choose how much. I ordered dan dan noodles and it had sooo much of the numbing and zero spicy. It ruined the rest of my meal. It made the water taste like soda water with a bad aftertaste and the toothpick lamb seemed just ok during and after the numbing. Aside from that the noodles really werent very flavorful IMO. It tasted watered down. The waiters were not very attentive and even though i stopped not even halfway through the noodles they didnt even ask if there was a problem. I was excited to come but would not come back.

Good food, fast service. We were asked to spend min $200 because we sat at the large round table. Whaaat???
