Ru Sans

Not consistent. Sometimes it's ok.

I was in Rome for business and stopped by this location for lunch one day. They had a special “buffet” entree that had many different food items come out altogether on a huge plate. My plate came out with 3 or 4 different rolls, one deep fried roll, teriyaki chicken, fried rice, tempura vegetables, and gyoza. The rolls are those tiny rolls that are mostly rice, like the ones you’d expect at a buffet. Their spicy tuna mixture was delicious, though, and it included a serious kick (tread carefully if you are not good with spicy foods). I didn’t really care for the gyozas and skipped them entirely after trying one bite. The deep fried vegetables were fried well and the vegetables were ripe and sweet. I didn’t really touch the teriyaki chicken because it didn’t look that appetizing. The chicken looked pretty dry. The star of the show (cue the drums) was surprisingly the fried rice, which was just a plain flavored rice. It was executed really well though, and had delicious buttery flavor to it. This is a buffet platter so don’t expect to receive high quality food. It wasn’t bad, and it was kind of fun receiving a buffet on a big single plate. Unfortunately, one experience is enough for me. PS - Their ginger salad that came out on the side was delicious.

Good food and good service. Two up!

This place use to be our favorite but after today we will never visit again. They make their own hours so if you drive from far away like we do it's a waste of time. Do yourself a favor and go to rock n roll sushi on Broad St.

Been coming here for many years. Absolutely the best sushi in Rome, hands down. Only 4 stars? Recently the service has not been very good. Server was was prompt and polite, however, the only server on the floor on a Friday night. Seriously Ru San? Hire some staff! Here we are again, best sushi in Rome. Tonight? No wait staff at all. Empty tables covered with finished dinners, Ru San running the floor by himself, kinda sad. Long wait to get our food. But, only because it's the best, we'll be back. Again, hire some staff!

The food here was great. Will definitely eat here again.

Don't go for ramen or upon... their versions are nothing like Japanese ramen or upon.
