Had the classic burger and steak tips. Excellent meal.
Service, food and atmosphere was truly immaculate. Maeve was an excellent hostess and waitress.
Great pub food at reasonable prices. I really like the Nantucket flatbread. The cioppino on the specials menu was mind-blowing. The Night Shift IPA and the rusty nail are highly recommended. There is free parking in the lots near the bike path. It's definitely worth a visit.
don’t order any type of steak here, tips were gray and over cooked. sent them back and second attempt at the tips came back gray and inside purple (we asked for medium rare). Wings were over cooked, think they forgot about them in the fryer. Drinks were good. Wasted 100 bucks on two drinks, wings, steak frites, and steak tips. Probably won’t come back unless there is food quality control back in the kitchen. Five stars for service, nice bartender.
The burgers are very good and so is the chocolate lava cake. The waiter we had was really nice and funny and always made sure we had drinks and were having a good time. This is a good spot for a date night or just going out for drinks at the bar.
Off the beaten, crowded Water Street strip, this bar/restaurant on Child Street is a great alternative. A comfortable, neighborhood vibe with a nice bar and surprisingly good food with excellent service. Be sure to ask for the aoli as a side, a zippy condiment. Convenient parking in the public lot across the street.
Let me start with the good. Richardson's has a nice atmosphere and the bartender was very friendly and worked hard. He worked hard because he was the only one covering a full bar and restaurant half filled with patrons. Yet, he kept his wits and cheerfulness. I bartended, and know this is not an easy task. What disappointed me was the food. I ordered the medium rare beef tenderloin tips, and my wife ordered the mixed greens salad. The tips came out gray and overcooked. I don't know if they broiled or boiled them. There was no color. It was like eating food from a black and white TV show. The vegetable was brussels sprouts and spinach. The brussels were overboiled and had the consistency of hot balls of mush. The salad was skimpy and plain, with lettuce greens and a few chunks of tomatoes. Richardson's is located right around the corner from where we live. We may give it another shot. Perhaps it was just a bad night and the cook was new or doing it to help out a friend. Hopefully, Richardson's will get a better chef and a few more waiters.
The service was good, but the food was just all right. I had the spicy shrimp pasta special. It was incredibly salty.
