A unique yet a different approach towards Indian cuisine. Casual and relaxed atmosphere with a cute bar to enjoy a drink before a fusion style Indian food.
Excellent Indian Cuisine. Every single thing ordered was delicious.
To be honest, the food was mid. The drinks were midplus. Going to Raag Indian Cuisine for the second time was a huge downgrade from the first time all in all, but hey I got a cute picture of the drink! *because of the day we went on, it was busy, but at this price point you expect a certain level of both service and food quality. We tried the Rogan Josh, which was a bit too sweet and felt like they had just stirred in chilli powder when we asked for spicy, the meat was unflavored, the empanadas were served with nothing but a simple chili sauce which didn’t do much to balance the flavors of the dry empanada, the chicken biriyani was mild but flavorful, however it made no lasting impression. Towards the end we weren’t able to get dessert because the kitchen closed and no one notified us even though we had just received our meals.
Honestly how could I say anything bad. Great atmosphere. Great food and amazing service
After a tiring week I was not in the mood to go out last Friday but I'm sure glad we did. A friend suggested we try Raag and since I love Indian cuisine, we agreed. It turned out to be a phenomenal choice. We'll definitely be returning to try more of the amazing dishes on the menu. For starters we had the Jal Tarang, a fun dish with some sort of semolina balls and flavored water, followed by the Cauliflower Koliwada. The Koliwada was awesome! I ordered the Kashmiri Lamb Roganjosh, with a heat level of 3 (out of 4). If you love it hot, but not insanely hot, this is a good level. The dish had a luscious, deep, and complex flavor to it. It was enough for two meals but I couldn't stop eating and and ended up eating the entire dish. OMG that was tasty! Others at our table had the Palak Paneer, Lamb Rack Quinoa Pilaf, and Delhi Butter Chicken. All were very happy with their choices. For dessert my wife ordered the Mango Mousse. It looked amazing but to me it was just okay. I'm not a mango fan, however. The presentation was great though. I can't post this review without a shoutout to our fantastic server, Tatianna. She was, to me, the perfect server. She was always there at the right time. We never had look around for her. She was polite enough not to interrupt our conversations yet she readily joined in the convo when we talked to her. She was so friendly and patient with us! It's not often a server impresses me like she did. Way to go, Tatianna! Finally, a big thanks to the management for not sneaking in your business expenses as an extra "health & wellness fee" or whatever different places call it. Business expenses should be built into the menu prices, not in the fine print at the bottom of the menu. Your lack of a "fee" is greatly appreciated!
From the cocktails to dessert, everything here was delightful! Everything had beautiful presentation, but more importantly, it was delicious! The fusion of different and unique flavors made everything tasty and unique. It's a great place to go with a small group and just order as much off the menu as you can and share everything, since it's so hard to choose! Highly recommend this restaurant! Vegetarian options: Many delightful vegetarian options.
Out to celebrate a friend's birthday.
