Puccini's Pizza Pasta-Chevy Chase Place

Went in to pick up an order. Stood at the counter for about 8 minutes with no acknowledgment whatsoever. The phone rang, and Chase walked by and answered the phone on a personal call... apparently, an employee wanted a free pizza that they were going to make for them, but didn't say a word to me. Not hi, bye, can I help you, nothing. Finally, I asked about my order, and the scraggly haired guy turned around and said, 'we see you' in a snarky way. So I told him the least they can do is acknowledge when someone was there, as they should ANY customer. He got mad, started yelling (with customers in the dining room), and told me to leave that I wasn't getting the food. I will never return for such disrespectful treatment. I don't want that food after watching them handle it bare handed (no gloves), making salads and handling the pizzas, touching everything else at the same time, anyway! It's dirty in there!

Cancelled order no explanation so oh well heard they were going downhill anyways.

I always come to this place because food is usually good. However, this time I get called out along with my co workers saying they did not tip enough as “Dottie” wanted more than 20% tips for average service. And walked up to our table questioning why it wasn’t enough. This company has made me feel as if my money is no longer good at this place.

Really good food (especially the pasta) and friendly staff. Food came quick and we were well taken care of.

We had an awesome experience here today. The food and service was incredible, they even filled up our dressing cups without asking. It was pretty empty so maybe that’s why as I saw other reviews with different issues. But it was great for a sat afternoon!

This place was amazing! 1st time here and we will definitely return!

Update: Since the location is not the most convenient to us we don't get to go often. I recently heard that they were going down hill a bit...and I can now confirm. The service this past weekend was some of the worst I have ever received. The waitress wasn't familiar with the menu at all. When she brought the appetizer she didn't give appetizer plates. The drinks ran empty multiple times and it was slow to receive our food. There were four people in our party and she forgot to enter in the food of one person so their food was received 15 minutes after ours. There was just a mumble of an apology and that was it. I can understand if they were super busy but she had three maybe four tables tops. We overheard the table next to us and she had messed up something on their service as well. We were 2 parties of 2 and she confirmed how the checks would be divided....and we still received the wrong items on the checks. At that point, we just wanted to leave so we didn't have her correct anything. It is a shame because the food is still really good. Previous: We love Puccini’s. They have unique pizza and great pasta. I have never had anything there that was not delicious. Their salads are always fresh...like super fresh. Sometimes the food does come out a bit slow but very much worth the wait. We were sad when the Hamburg location closed but we do travel across town for this amazing food!
