Mar 2024: The macarons at the bakery were a highlight, especially the rich and flavorful mango one. The chocolate ones were equally delicious. However, the passion fruit with raspberries tart lacked balance, and the addition of strawberries could have enhanced its flavor. The raspberry addition felt out of place. The cost of the treats was a downside, considering the portion sizes. Despite this, the tuna sandwich was excellent, a bit hard to chew as it had three pieces of bread. It made for a nice treat for a small celebration. Overall, the bakery's offerings were creative and of high quality.
What a wonderful place. I’m surprised there’s not a line here. I got breakfast here three days in a row and I wish I could go back for more. Ham and cheese croissant was excellent along with other desert items we ordered. This place is a gem!
I find prices to be outrageous. It's near 10$ for an individual pastry. Grocery items are marked up about 3 times. The pastries are alright, but they're not at a level that justifies these prices. It's much higher than what I pay in Manhattan (where rent isn't cheap either), higher than at Colette (also in Boston), and 2 or 3 times the price in France for an equivalent quality. I could understand charging a premium for an 'experience' by making it a space for a date, but it's not that kind of place. If it was high end, you wouldn't see an employee with personal stuff scattered on a table, sitting among customers.
Incredibly good hazelnut/chocolate “Opera” pastry. Best I’ve ever had. Cost $9.50 but worth it. Latté was also excellent.
