Good beer selection. You will not think you are in England, however, the vibe of the place was very nice. Reuben Fries were very tasty.
My friend and I checked out this place on a Friday night. They had live music from 7 to 10 on the patio. I had never been to the Riverwalk and it was such a nice atmosphere. There’s TVs in the patio for sports too. They have all day Monday through Friday specials on drinks - $6 Irish mules and green tea shots were what we ended up having. The place is connected to underdogs next-door. Inside they have a ton of arcade games for the family. We got the Reuben fries that were really good and fish and chips and the butter chicken. The fish and chips was great and I would order it again. The butter chicken I would’ve advertised more as a curry chicken. I barely ate much of it. Our server Peyton was really nice. At the end the all day special pricing got a bit confusing versus the happy hour pricing, but she was very accommodating and was able to help us figure it out.
Great authentic British food. Fish & chips was awesome, and staff and retro music really good. We'll be back.
It is a nice British pub. In my opinion, it is a good place for drinks but not food. We ordered bangers&mash and fish&chips. Both are 18.99$ each but the portion was very small. Bangers&Mash came with two small sausages and probably a cup of grainy mash potatoes. Fish&chip came with two medium pieces of fish and a pile of french fries. With the price, we were expecting a bigger portion for Banges&Mash. The taste is ok, not something that we will go back for. The service was good but the servers lacked knowledge about the food and drink menu. They have seating outside, it will be a good place for sitting during spring time.
Loved the vibe. Unique for what the Flower Mound area typically has to offer. Food was pub fare in the best way. Took me right back to Dublin.
Simply put, there isn't anything like this in Flower Mound and we are super excited! If you are looking for an authentic British Pub experience, look no further than Pennywise. They have three nitro taps (currently Guinness, Old Speckled Hen, and Bellhaven), tons of beers you would find in pubs across the pond, shuffleboard, pool, huge TVs for rugby, soccer, and other sports as well. With the weather warming up, it's a perfect spot to enjoy some outside eating and drinking!
I visited the pub on St. Patrick's Day after waiting for almost a year for it to finally open. I had high hopes, but unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. When I sat down, the waitress told me there was only one person working that day and that she worked at the pizza restaurant. She had no knowledge about the food or drinks at all (not her fault). She said that they were out of Guinness, green beer and fish and chips. On St. Patrick's Day?? It was noon and not busy in the slightest. Absolutely crazy. I ordered an Irish drop shot, which was 1/3 of a beer and a shot of cream. For $8, that's just ridiculous. I then got the reuben fries, which was a comically small portion, especially for $15. I also got the shepherd's pie, which came in the same size pan as the fries. It was the worst shepherd's pie I've ever had. It just tasted like plain ground beef topped with mashed potatoes. Hardly any flavor. I really wanted to like this place, but it's just terrible and it's being ran by a total clown. The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is because the server was great and tried her best given the absurd mismanagement.
