Mio Nonno is truly our little gem! As a bit of a self-proclaimed pizza snob, especially for Neapolitan-style pizza, the chefs here create some of the best I’ve had, even compared to my experiences in Italy.
Our company recently ordered catering through Mio Nonno, and they exceeded every expectation. Rosa, the catering manager, went above and beyond to ensure every detail was met. The service we received was outstanding, and her dedication made the process seamless.
A huge thank you to Carson and Adam as well! Their friendly and efficient service always makes our lunch outings here feel special, and they’re always quick to ensure we have everything we need.
Whether it’s just a regular lunch or a special occasion, they consistently deliver incredible food, drinks and hospitality.
The food was delicious and the service was amazing! I'm definitely coming back to try more items on the menu!
Always good food. For great service ask for Evan!
Excellent Desserts. ...Food was good too but Desserts were the highlight.
Not greeted by the hostess when entered the restaurant & bar staff kept talking on one corner & didn’t even recognize that we were there. We walked out. Shame on them.
I love this location and restaurant. However our visit this last week was a bit off. Recommending: play Italian music (not top 40 & so loud). Detail clean the restrooms. The service is always great.
Incredible place. Food is always amazing, people are always so friendly and service is always top notch. Has become one of my go to spots for people visiting DFW.
I totally adore Mio Nonno Trattoria! When we return to the DFW area, this amazing restaurant is definitely on the repeat-visit list. They have a gluten-friendly pizza that they turned into a vegan masterpiece. I've not seen or, more importantly, tasted its rival anywhere else. The salads are exceptionally well done, really in a class by themselves. Beet salad cannot be beat (pun forgiveness requested). The gluten-free pasta is excellent. Cannot go wrong with marinara sauce if wishing to avoid meat. I could not more highly recommend! Mio meal with a Lakeside cinema movie to follow was a winning combination. Wished I had pictures to share, but the food made a beeline for my mouth upon being served. Besides, pictures to come in a future post will make a second visit even more likely, and I'm counting the days until I can return.
Mio Nonno used to be a favorite, but it seems things have changed—maybe new ownership? Prices are much higher, the menu has changed, and sadly, the food quality has dropped. It’s just not the same place anymore.
We were hoping for better dining experience as it was our wedding anniversary, in its stead, we ended up finding hair in the calamari. We reported the incident to our server, the server apologized and said the manager will come and see us, manager never showed up nor did the server attempt to do something about it. All the server did was take the calamari off the table, well, “thank you for that gesture”! Never will I ever visit again and make sure to spread the word as well.
Wow! I have been eating dinner at Mío every Friday night since January upon my return to Texas. I was asked not to return tonight. I asked why…? The answer was not specific and not even general as to what happened? Lakeside has influencers that if they don’t like you they will have you black balled from business services. Until tonight I have never been asked to change anything about my conduct in this restaurant. I love this place and its remarkable staff. I’m going to miss it and will pray that the ownership will come to their senses. God bless all! Scott
All I can say is wow!! Everything was made fresh in front of us… this chef is amazing! Some of the best food I have ever had!! Get the blackened shrimp risotto. And the key lime pie was the best I have ever had!
During my last visit at mio nonno rose made my whole experience worth while. Thank you Rose
