The food is DELICIOUS. Made to order meat options with mouth watering sides. The staff is incredibly friendly and patience as you make the difficult choice of deciding which delicious side doesn’t make the cut. Only come here if you’re looking to be full and happy.
1st time, I figured let me try them out, i had a few sides, mash potatoes were good, mac n cheese was was missing the cheese, and didnt taste right(cracker barrel cheese) is the best, collards, were off, bland, where was the turkey, sweet potatoes were soso, peach cobbler was very good...The search for a great soul food spot continues...
Initially, I was apprehensive because of the star rating but after my first visit, I’m sold and confused why this establishment doesn’t have a perfect scoring. The ppl are always crazy nice, it’s always clean and the food is perfection EVERY TIME. My go-to is the fried pork chop dinner (made to order) with two sides and a sweet tea. The fried green tomatoes are a treat when you dine-in. They even have a new updated way to order and pay for food using a kiosk. It was quick and easy. I’ve enjoyed every experience I’ve had at Papa Lou’s. Treat yourself to something that will have you flashing back to grandma’s home cooked meals. I don’t have any pictures because once that plate hits the table, I have no time for games .
We sat outside on Easter Sunday and feasted on the best home cooking / soul food I've had in years! Vegetarian options: Squash casserole, green beans, blackened eyed peas, Mac & cheese, sweet potatoes, cabbage. . .
5 star soul food dining. Leg quarter, Mac and Cheese, okra. And the ribs are the greatest ever.
My husband and I really enjoy their food and service is great.
Food is just to expensive over priced.
