Bad customer service.
I called up the restaurant and asked for when they would take the last order. The lady in the phone mentioned that the last order will be taken at 2.30 pm. But i mentioned that i will reach there only at 2.35pm and would that be ok and she agreed to it and based on that i drove almost 25 mins and reached there at 2.32pm. 3 mins earlier than what i told. But They refused service and send me back. I told i have already called up. But they were not willing to listen. Very bad experience by the servers there. They should have told this in the call itself.
Great food and service every time. This is, without doubt, my favorite places when I get the Thai craving.
The food here is GREAT. I have been here like 50 times, really, in last 25 years since the restaurant was in Santa Clara street (then just called Krung Thai) to this current location. Everyone I brought, from co-workers, friends and family and we all love the food and the service here. I am who have been in the Bay Area close to 40 years and I whole heartedly recommend this place.
There are some authentic food and some bit fusion-ish but still tasted great and has the essence of authenticity. The dishes I would recommend are
1. Yen ta fo. The best in the Bay Area
2. Hoi Tod (fried mussels in batter)
3. Any fried rice - basil fried rice is my favorite (really off the menu)
4. Any anything that they have under "Off the menu"
Team lunch on a weekday afternoon. There are plenty of tables and there is no queue. The dining environment is bright, clean and spacious.
However, the food is just so-so.
The Tom Yum soup is too sour, it is worse than expected. And we cannot finish it.
The yellow curry is too sweet, and the red curry is too salty.
And the pineapple fried rice and the Phad Thai are just so-so.
That creamy Thai flavoring missing. Not sure of other Thai restaurants in San Jose but i love Thai food in Seattle. I am just a traveler.
We love this restaurant for celebrating. The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly. Parking can be a challenge during times. Sometimes I park on the street.
This is one of the top Thai spots in San Jose, offering authentic flavors and a great variety of dishes. From Pad Thai to curries, everything is well-balanced and delicious. With solid options for vegetarians and vegans, it's perfect for any diner. Great service and amazing food—highly recommended!
Food was decent, but portion sizes are not satisfactory given the prices. Pad thai is good though. Also, almost no cell reception inside the restaurant and guests are not allowed to use the wifi
