Monterey Bay Fish Grotto

Would leave 10 out of 5 stars if I could! My fiancé and I had our wedding shower in the Monterey Bay Incline Room on Labor Day weekend. The whole planning process and the actual event itself were nothing short of perfect. Angelina Watson, the private events coordinator, is an absolute joy to work with. We had never planned anything like a shower before so we were a bit nervous, but Angelina instantly quelled our worries with her professionalism, organization, and warm personality. She designed the perfect floor plan for us and our guests, which provided great ambiance for mingling and dining comfortably. She paid attention to every detail, was incredibly thorough and patient with our questions, and made the whole planning completely stress free and fun. Joe Gavin, the host, was so helpful and friendly the day of our event. He checked in with us before we even got to the venue to ensure us everything was good to go and even helped us carry our decorations into the room! He personally saw to it that all our guests found our room okay, even with the swamped holiday weekend dinner rush. The service was nothing short of phenomenal. Our waiters treated us like royalty and absolutely spoiled us for our special night. They were so fast and on top of everything, all while being so friendly and personable. They made amazing recommendations for the food and drinks. And of course the food was nothing short of heavenly. Nothing brings people together quite like a good meal, and the Monterey Bay kitchen has that down to an art. We specifically wanted to book with Monterey Bay for the high quality and creativity of the food, and they knocked it out of the park as usual. The freshness and harmony of all the ingredients just melts in your mouth. The tastes you’ll experience at this restaurant are ones you’ll be thinking about and yearning for for months. I can’t recommend this place enough, especially for events. To say we love this restaurant is a massive understatement. If you’re looking for a dream event venue, exceptional service, beauty and class, and food that is a luxurious indulgence for the mind, body, and soul get yourself in touch with Monterey Bay. You’ll be so glad you did!

I have been to several private parties but never just for dinner. It was quite expensive, but it was so delicious and the atmosphere made for a very special date night. The staff were incredibly engaging with our questions since we had never dined there, and I am excited to go back.

Amazing food and service and beautiful view of the city!

My fiancé and I came here for Valentines Day and we had the best night! Denise was our waitress and she was so friendly and had such a great personality. She’s the reason I felt inclined to leave a review because the food here is always amazing.

Perfect place for an amazing Date night, if you’re driving, may I suggest you park down at the bottom of the incline, enjoy the ride and view up, then a really short walk to the restaurant. (They have great valet parking as well, quick, easy, safe, good folks) Atmosphere is tops in the City, View is just as amazing, food and service was even more fantastic! Wish I could’ve recalled our Servers name,, he was honestly the sweetest, and most helpful person I had had the pleasure of meeting, really deserves to be mentioned. ( not only did he just have amazing and perfect wine and food suggestion’s, he was kind and helpful, we had a birthday in our small party of 2, made her feel very special but didn’t embarrass her, (he left that to me ;) )which is great for that atmosphere and situation! He literally never let our water or wine get down to 25% and usually I’m not that needy at all, but we the world kinda melted away and he really let us focus on each other and the experience, was just perfect) He also saw we were going to take a picture and the end of the evening, and very politely offered to take our picture, but suggested a spot in front of the windows so the beautiful Pittsburgh Point and skyline was behind us. Just an amazing Picture, not that we will ever forget, it’s nice to have it for 20 years down the road. (He also very very politely asked me if I would like him to use my phone (in place of just swiping the titanium card, to use my Apple Wallet on the phone, just so I got double points !!! Honestly think about the last person to spend that much time and thought on a patron of a restaurant. Overall 5 stars isn’t enough, but I feel very fortunate that our Server was something special, as is the food, atmosphere and experience, but He just made it perfect!!
