Moghul Restaurant

We invited our guests for dinner and ordered couple of dishes but it was inedible after spending $200+ there’s no satisfaction of food.

Wonderful dining experience. The restaurant is very elegant in design. My 8-year-old granddaughter was fascinated to watch the chefs roast the breads and meats in the tandoori ovens. Palak, the hostess, was very friendly. Dagin, our waiter, was very polite, friendly & understood our request for nut free orders. The food was excellent. Lovely presentation. Can't wait to go back.

Buffet had plenty of variety and the chicken biryani and goat (mutton) curry was very good along with the fresh appetizer bar. But the tandoori chicken wasn’t good and had vinegar smell (like the chicken is washed in vinegar) and the butter chicken (not on buffet, ordered separately) wasn’t at par with some other similar Indian restaurants and the rice was hard. Valentine (server) gets a 4 star for his excellent service and hospitality (minus 1 for being pushy about google review on the spot!!)

Since you’ve asked here goes: “do what’s right!” Food came 40 mins late. I don’t know if that’s normal. Courtesy would’ve been one of the host to come and check the guest. You’re charging 20% gratuity for this service to serve a group of 2. I think a large group makes sense to charge 20%. But for 2 if you’re charging 20% your service better be upto the quality.

The food & atmosphere were phenomenal. We ordered a lot & we shared everything, proportions were perfect for our group. Valentin was our server & he was great at helping us order but at the end of our meal he pressured all of us to leave reviews. He would not leave the table until we all left reviews. He then read off reviews to ensure we all left one. The food was great but when I return I would request a different server.

Love this place would come back anytime. I’ve been here a couple of time and the food is delicious. The chicken was so tender and easy to cut through. The waiters valentine were extremely helpful. If you’re looking for a place to eat in Edison would definitely come here. The seating was comfortable and loved the vibes of the place. My family tried the pressure cooker goat, chicken wings with a mouth watering sauce, we also had the garlic naan and you could really taste that garlic flavor. For a drink I tried the mango lassi and it was so creamy I could really taste the mango flavor. Would highly recommend.

An Extremely overrated place. We went for a lunch buffet on Saturday and it was a horrible experience. For a buffet, the food items were very less compared to other Indian restaurants and food taste was below average. For a party of 20 people they gave us a corner place which was very cramped. Ambience was also not very good. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
