My friends and I asked the staff when are they open and he insisted that they are ready for business even though they have a sign up saying prep time and closed.
The food was undercooked and under seasoned. When I speak to the staff, they said claimed that they did us a favor for letting us order the food and accusing me of not knowing how the food supposed to be made.
Staff took no ownership of the quality of the food and was not apologetic about the situation. They didn’t offered us refunds nor apology.
We walked up to the counter and asked when they would be open as they had a sign saying “we are not open yet for prep” and they said we can go ahead and order. We ordered and half cooked raw food came out and we tried to explain it and they waved us off and wouldn’t listen. They blamed us for the food not being right and we told them we asked when it would be open and that we were told the kitchen was ready to order. They didn’t take accountability or apologize so please don’t go to this place in San Pedro square market.
Best Service and very high quality food. Being a Shin myself, proud to see that there is a high end high quality but most importantly a very affordable Korean restaurant here in San Pedro. Best Beef Bulgogi, not salty or filled with msg like the other places.
Visiting San Jose from Chicago. Ordered the bibimbop for myself for lunch. Loved it so much I brought my wife back for dinner and we got the spicy pork tacos and the pikachick fried chicken. Everything was packed with flavor and so satisfying. Details like the homemade tortillas took the dishes from a 9 to a 10. The prices reflect the quality of the food.
It’s very upsetting that most of the negative reviews on here for Master Shin are actually for a Colombian restaurant. This is someone’s livelihood. Please take the time to make sure you’re reviewing the correct establishment. Mistakes like this might mean nothing to customers, but it can mean everything for a business owner.
Got the bibimbap. It was bad. Just a bunch of rice in a bowl and a sauce. Not in an iron pot. No charred rice. Shamefully bad.

The food was delicious, but the amount I got for the $23 LA short ribs did not seem worth it.
Nice pork tacos, but a bit of a wait. Ordering is using digital display and you get a text when your order is ready. Price a bit high for quantity.
EDIT 12/14: Ordered Bap bowl with spicy pork via Fooda at office. Got a bowl with beef instead, smaller quantity for price, more rice than any other ingredients. Very disappointed.
Price is high for the small quantity provided
