Dined in today. Customer Service was excellent. Melissa and all the cleaning staff were excellent. The food was five stars across. I had the pasta, crab asparagus. Everything was five stars across. Parking: Parking was very good. Very clean parking lot and everything was in order outside inside was off the chain very in order.
Delicious burger. Atmosphere a little on the country kitchen style.
The only reason I rated 4 instead of 5 stars was because of the lack of information available online. Don't get me wrong the food was great, but I would have liked to see the menu before choosing to eat here. Had I known the level of pricing I would have picked another day to go. The service was spot on. I loved the fact it was repurposed from the old train station. I only recommend if you're okay spending 30+ per person. Wheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible
This place is a "HIDDEN JEM." Melissa was overwhelming helpful and provided exceptional service.
Beautiful place to dine. Excellent service. Put it on your to do list.
They were out of the steak special by 7:45. Waited 45 minutes for appetizers. Waitress didn't come around 1 time during that 45. Got our food 6 minutes after the appetizers. The lobster was over cooked, rubbery, and flavorless. The risotto was soggy. This was the 2nd time we've done valentine's day here and last time was probably worse. We tried to give yall another chance and was more than convinced that it was a mistake. We will never be back. The crab cake was ok. Maybe a 6/10. The waitress did apologize but never got a manager or anyone to talk to us. It was the bus boy who realized our appetizers were never put in. They did at least take the stuff we didn't eat off the bill.
This little restaurant has moved across the street from a previous location. Much more comfortable in table spacing and ambience. Nice atmosphere. Great location. Same great food! The Avocado Chicken Salad...Salad is superb!! The waitress offered balsamic vinegarette made in-house which you must try....it is delicious! Thank you for suggesting it. The ranch that normally comes on this is great also. We recommend this lovely place!
Longtime customer and it pains me to write this. This isn’t “I’m never going to go back” or “all hope is gone for this once fine establishment” - My intention is that someone in charge of this restaurant reads this and makes the right changes to uphold the vision and brand of “Main Street Bistro” - 1. Bring the table cloths back - It’s a small touch that makes a big difference 2. Don’t rush the customer - Even if it is closing time… 3. Related to the above - Hide the syrofoam takeout containers. Don’t have them staged all over the place… 4. Staff has to maintain appearance - at the old location the staff always looked so sharp. It takes one staff member not looking sharp to lesson the brand… Don’t minimize the importance of this. Reflect on what everyone’s role and appearance was at the old location. 5. Don’t sell crafts. Paintings are one thing - Wreaths are another. 6. Consider getting rid of the airplanes and other obscure decor. It doesn’t make sense… Ideally you can break the dining area up with planters or other simple additions to give a more intimate feel. Check out Red River Cantina for inspiration- they did a great job breaking up space with planters. 7. Lastly, guard the brand. Reflect on what made Main Street special! Uphold all the small things and don’t underestimate change - Even the simplest change should be scrutinized. Each and every change idea should be questioned, “does this change uphold the brand and vision that Main Street was intended to be?” This was all written in the genuine interest that someone with ownership rights reads this and makes the necessary changes. Please “thumbs up” if you are a customer of Main Streets and agree!
Best bistro in the Galveston area. Food does take a while but honestly the food makes up for it.
