Great service. Guy was super nice and even clued us in to happy hour. I was just soooooo disappointed with the food. Every plantain chip taste burnt and over cooked. The nachos again great topping burnt plantain chips. The drink were amazing really good. But the food didn’t do it for me. The chicken was skimpy. I tried 3 appetizers and gave up.
Brought my mom here for her birthday. Great choice! We both got the special of the day: 3 seafood stuffed plantain cups with white rice and Puertorican red beans. So good! I also got the croquettas. Wow! So yummy. Everything was a hit. Oh, and did I mention? Beautiful, too.
This was my second visit to Luna Rosa, the food was great as always! The new location was a pleasant surprise as one of the Google maps photos (shown below) still shows the previous store front / location.
Well the first thing is if you do a Google search show us pictures of their old location not where they're at right now. There's hardly any parking. Parked at paid parking cost me $18 for maybe an hour and a half. When it came time to pay my bill they were trying to charge me 30 more dollars then what the menu price was for what I wanted and I even pointed it to the gentleman. I don't think I'd ever go back
Came here to celebrate a special occasion on a Sunday afternoon. Made reservations a week in advance and they were accommodating. It was shortly after opening, so there were plenty of tables available. Place is so large, having a large party doesn't seem to be an issue. They quickly put together a few tables and we were seated right away.
Since it was a large party, they had several people assisting with the drinks and food. Server made a few recommendations on dishes and tips on portion sizes. While everyone was looking over the menu, we ordered drinks and a few appetizers including the Croquetas, Taino Sampler, and Plantain Chips & Dip. They were all great for sharing, especially the Taino Sampler.
For the meals, we ordered a wide variety of items. Portions were large and shareable as well. Everyone received what they expected and was happy with their choices. It was a birthday party, so all the staff came out to sing Happy Birthday. It was a nice and fun gesture. Will come back whether it be for a regular meal or special occasion.
Awesome food, great service, and the music was perfect.
Great experience tonight ! Waiter was very helpful, nice and attentive. Would come again.
This place has been a hit since it was near Brooks city base. Downtown still great, lunch is awesome, dinner really good.
Best place for happy hour!
Great local choice. A dozen or so free parking spots on west side. Pork is amazing -- ours was part of the happy hour nachos, which feature plantain chips and beans. Yummy mojito. $4 Modelos. Server was friendly and helpful.
Really good food tables are kind of small
Nice live music 🎶 and terrific food
I recently visited Luna Ross Puerto Rican Grill and ordered the Ropa Vieja, which I really enjoyed. I was pleasantly surprised by how it was served, as it was a unique take on the dish compared to what I've had before. The flavors were delicious, and the presentation was great.
However, I was a bit disappointed by the automatic service charge, especially since our table wasn’t that large. It felt unnecessary, especially with an additional tip request on top. Overall, the food was great, but the unexpected extra charge left a bit of a sour note on the experience.
