Service was great . Food was hot and delicious. Ordered flounder, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, and squash casserole. Food came out fast, fresh and hot. Cornbread and rolls also hot and fresh. Waitress was super friendly.
The food quality varies from week to week. It is best to go when they are not busy, like after lunchtime before dinner. The best veges are spinach, collards, and beets. The cabbage, lima beans and black eyed peas taste like they came from a can. Yet, I understand because you are getting soul food through a drive thru. You seem to get better proportions dining in.
I love this local favorite. The home cooking and the breakfast are outstanding. I always visit when I'm in Columbia. I just wish they would expand a little to Santee, SC. It's only 45 miles.
The food wasn't hot .It was barely warm but I was afraid to send it back.
