This place use to be good, but the recipes must have changed. I didn't enjoy my Mango Shrimp or the poop veins in all of them. My bfs soup tasted gritty and earthy. Not enjoyable at all. We are going to leave and eat somewhere else.
Super, it was great!!
The dish mojarea especial...
It is really good...
Seafood soup taste like grits was worse soup ever
The standard chips and salsa at your regular are completely elevated here! A red salsa, green salsa -hot and spicy, and a cerviche..made with fresh crab and / or fish? Fresh limes saltines and tortas..Really fresh AH-MAZING flavor! I had fish tacos, and my husband had chicken tacos. I ordered some pico de gallo on the side. Both served in corn tortillas, and my fish was fried but very generous portions very tasty. The service was excellent! We were actually at a disadvantage because the menu was mostly in Spanish. I could make out enough of what was offered, but just be aware, lol. They had some Incredible looking specialties, but we really only came in for a quick bite.
If you're in the mood for a different, not Americanized version of fresh coastal Mexican food, I'd say absolutely try here. Not your typical rice and beans with everything. We will be back to try more.
Seafood was good and really nice atmosphere for family
Delicious! Haven't had mexican food this good since I lived in South Texas.
We just ate there. The food was awesome. I loved it!
I am not a big seafood fan, but the restaurant is right across from my hotel, so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did. I had never tried ceviche before and I was pleasantly surprised when I found the dish here to be very tasty. The salsas, both the red selection, which my waitress warned me about, and the green salsa were quite hot, but good, served with perfectly round, small fried corn tortillas for chips. The crown to the meal was the camarones al Cacahuate (peanut shrimp.) It is absolutely fantastic! I suspect they haven't been open long, as when I asked about desserts, my waitress told me they haven't added desserts, yet. If you find yourself anywhere near Janesville do everything you can to give this place a try.
Man o man! What a hidden gem this place is! I absolutely love seafood and this place knocks it straight out of the park. The portion sizes are super generous, I’d highly recommend one of the Molcajetes. My only regret is not taking pictures of the food when it came out.
And definitely get the empanadas as an appetizer, you’ll thank me later
You cannot miss at this place. Will definitely be coming back with my friends and family
Thank you for taking such great care of us
Amazing food and super cute decor inside! The empanadas were delicious and the seafood was well cooked. Staff was awesome and friendly and took great care of us. Drinks were tasty and portion sizes were huge. Definitely will be coming back and bringing some friends along!!
A hidden gem! My family and I came here to celebrate after the big UW commencement. Despite the last minute reservation, the service was amazing and well worth the drive from downtown Madison.
Service is great, authentic food that reminds me of Mexico, and kind staff that really take the time to make sure you're enjoying the food. The proportions are HUGE and the price is well worth it. I couldnt recommend it more.
Food was amazing it disappeared before I could take a picture would definitely be coming back
