Everything was outstanding, we will be coming back here
My favorite Japanese restaurant that never disappoints. Great food, service, culinary artistry, and fun. And the seasonal oysters are to die for!
Very pricey for the meal.
You definitely want to go to Kyoto for the teppanyaki. Our chef was talented, and the food was good. We both had the New York strip that was cooked perfectly and was tender and flavorful.
Where Kyoto fails is the sushi. It came when we were almost done with our meal. We originally ordered it as an appetizer. I'm not sure what happened. The roll was flavorless and looked like sushi from.Wal Mart (if they served sushi). The staff was nice. However, the restaurant is very old and in need of a remodeling.
Nice place with quick service and delicious food!
I was craving sushi and I had parked nearby this place so decided to walk in. This is hands down the best sushi I've had in years, and definitely the best sushi in Arizona! I had 3 rolls, one baked, one fried, and one cold and they each were unique and delicious. The fried one had a fire going on in the middle! I'm definitely coming back here next time I have a craving. The server was great and attentive as well, I forgot to get her name tho unfortunately, I had several Asahi by the time I left! Thank you!
Tucked away place recommended by a friend, I would go again!
Love the Sushi! Our Sushi Chef was amazing.
Great food, huge portions at the grill. Not a huge fan of the loud chef that bangs his tools too hard.
Sushi bar was great for both of us. The sushi was great, along with the poke bowl was flavorful and large for the price offered.
Chadde was awesome. Thankyou
Great service and great food!
I had a very disappointing experience at Kyoto Scottsdale. I didn’t dine in because the manager decided to close early due to slow business. I only received a water to go. When I arrived at Ra next door, I noticed there was a literal bug in the water once it was empty.
I went back to inform the manager as a courtesy, even though I hadn't ordered food and wasn't seeking a refund. The manager, who was extremely rude, dismissed my concerns. He told me that my friend and I “weren’t customers anyway” and refused to provide his name. He claimed it was impossible for the bug to have come from their establishment, since the comes from gun, though I know it could have been in the ice or another part of the system.
As someone who works in the service industry, I was appalled by his attitude and lack of professionalism. This incident occurred around 8 PM on August 19. I hope HR is aware of how poorly customers are treated by this manager. As a sushi lover new to Scottsdale, I will not be returning.
Solid hibachi that didn't knock my socks off. Our chef did a great job, and the Sake bombs were a fun touch I haven't had before. The pricing was pretty typical of a hibachi experience. We had a good dinner here for our friend's birthday trip to Scottsdale.
