Excellent place to eat some Asian food. Dead roster duck fresh in the windows, really good sweet and sour pork or BBQ beef, I always get the chow mein but the rice is good too. And the people. It's a small family owned business and the man is so sweet. These people are really chill and nice, real talk I love coming here to get some great home-cooked Asian food and supporting a local East side business while I do it. And yeah, if you come at a bad time, they may be out of things and the food may not be AS fresh as some kind of Panda Express or something, but considering its a family owned business nestled in the corner of a parking lot that you won't see unless you're on foot, they kinda have to keep costs down especially in this economy. I'm sure if you call and place an order they'll make sure they have everything ready for you. Personally "I'VE" never run into that problem that another reviewer is talking about, but I usually come around noon or so. He probably came at like 4, after lunch but before dinner. If anyone hasn't tried it yet, and you're in the area, I suggest this little gem of a restaurant. It's definitely tasty, worth the money, and the couple that runs it are super sweet :)
I rounded up to support the mom and pop shop. I live in San Jose since the 90s but this is the first time I know about this place. Courtesy of Google search. Very wholesome hole in the wall vibe (with love). I came when the shop just open around 11am on a Thursday. Read review about their duck so I had enough cash to get a whole duck. Wish they take credit card bc even with high fee, it truly worth it as customers surely spend more or at least for me. But I didn’t buy more bc I was quite skeptical due to the look of the shop to be quite honest. The duck was definitely pricier than other asian stores but totally worth it!! I can definitely feel the difference in the weight and how soft and juicy the meat is. I would buy again. I hope they make it through this economy Parking: Plenty of parking but can get really crowded bc so many small shops shared this plaza.
