I visited Kataliya Thai House twice and this restaurant is wonderful! I got the Pad Kee Mao and the Fresh Rolls (shrimp). The dishes were delicious, service was friendly, and the atmosphere very homey. Would definitely recommend visiting here if you want quality Thai food
Best Thai food I've had in Seattle for the past 5 years. The flavors are well balanced. Not super sweet like typical Thai food elsewhere. The Panang curry was flavorful with a generous serving of meat. The Pad Kee Mao was 10 out of 10! It has a smokey flavor, soft noodles, and plenty of meat and veggies. Service was okay since I came during dinner rush, but the servers were nice and accommodating. I will be a frequent customer for sure!
Came for dinner, first time here, won't be back. Service: Poor on a thurday night, few staff and unfortunately they struggled to balance attending to food pick-up orders and guests who are dining in. Had to waive the waiter down for everything. Food: Appetizers (calamari, wings) were pretty great! Portion sizes for all the food was pretty good. However our entrees were inconsistent in terms of flavor/quality. Duck curry was just OK - couldn't finish it; Crab fried rice was lacking in flavor and rice was too al-dente for our taste; Thai fried rice with salmon was pretty good. . Ambiance: Ok, small restaurant, part of the kitchen is the waiting area (there are rice cookers near the check-in area)
Kataliya is the closest Thai place to our house, so we order from here regularly. Dishes are hit and miss, but they seem to do the basics pretty well (curries and stir fries), particularly the noodle dishes (Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, pad kee mao, etc.). I would stay away from the Crying Tiger. Super over cooked and the sauce had barely any flavor. I took three bites and threw the rest away.
got take out. chicken pad thai and basil fried rice. taste is very thoughtfully crafted!! not usually a big fan of pad thai but this one was absolutely delicious. the taste was nothing like i've had before. not a generic taste for sure. lovely staff and even a cute note on our take out box that said "thank you" and "enjoy your food". little details make the experience that much better. i want to try their other menu items. they also sell their own chili oil at the front. $6 for a nice sized jar. haven't tried it but curious about it. :) will i be back? absolutely.
delicious food and clean and beautiful place , with parking
Good food, super friendly staff, restaurant is always clean but can be a little chilly so I wear a cardigan when I go. Totally worth it! I like the soup and noodle dishes. Dietary restrictions: I am gluten intolerant and have been able to find many options by asking the staff.
