As an Israeli-American, my visit to this restaurant was rather disappointing, and here's why: First impressions matter, and despite the restaurant's location on the west side of Flamingo Road in a strip mall, I wasn't bothered. However, as I approached the establishment, the shared entrance with Jerusalem and two other businesses was marred by scattered trash, creating a less-than-ideal initial experience. If it were my business, I would ensure a tidy entrance, perhaps using a leaf blower to maintain cleanliness, even if it's not my sole responsibility. Upon entering, I observed that the place was empty, with only 4-5 staff members present. While the host was pleasant enough, there was a lack of the inviting touch one would expect from a warm host. Nevertheless, we were seated promptly. The menu featured a combination of Israeli-like dishes and other Italian dishes, leaving me perplexed by the hybrid concept. We ordered Couscous, Schnitzel, an "Israeli" chopped salad, and pargiot. Unfortunately, the food lacked authenticity, missing the characteristic spices found in genuinely owned Israeli restaurants. The pargiot, though chicken was fresh, lacked flavor and was surprisingly bland. The salad, while not the typical chopped Israeli salad expected, was at least palatable. The Couscous was not authentically cooked and was similarly bland. Given these shortcomings, I question the viability of this restaurant's continued success.
