I really enjoyed being here such a fun time! We had great food and an amazing waiter. Staff were super friendly and my steak was delicious. I always have a blast with all the amazing flavors in the haute cuisines here. Love it!

The food has gone down, and so has the service! Jay Alexander used to be exclusive. The food previously looked like the photos and even tasted better! They have rude managers (Kim)! Perhaps more training would help or maybe finding managers that actually like their jobs. I used to live to go to this restaurant with my friends. I tried just recently in a last attempt to prove myself wrong. It is sad this restaurant operates like this now. It is like watching the Titanic go down. ~sigh~

Came here yesterday evening for a Birthday dinner for 10 guests. Reservations had been booked days prior. We waited 52 minutes until we finally were seated. I ordered a Margarita. A kid's tender meal and the Steak Maui with a baked potato. I specifically said no bacon and as you can see on the picture there was specs of bacon bits. The waiter brought out another baked potato prepared correctly but it needed atleast 10 more minutes in the oven. It was just hard chunks of potato with cheese on top and No butter was given to me. I ordered my steak Medium. Some of the steak was Medium and some was Medium Well. We waited so long to finally sit that I didn't complain because I was hungry. The tenders have gotten so small overtime. Overall dining here last night was just okay.

It was a busy Saturday and our party of 5 still had good service. I was the only one that ordered a cocktail and it was very good. I also ordered the pecan encrusted trout and it was excellent. The others all seemed to like their food, except one order of fries were cold. Everyone including myself thought the mac & cheese had an odd flavor. They didn't have a kids menu. Parking: The restaurant is inside Somerset Mall. They do have valet parking for the mall. They also have a parking lot and parking garage. It was a Saturday and we had some difficulty finding a good parking spot.

The bartender that is a bleach blonde, older and wears a top knot is pretty disrespectful for trying to save seats at a bar that are supposed to be ‘first come, first served’. We waited for 20 minute, but she expected my husband and I to give her ‘regulars’ our seats. It did not matter that we waited patiently behind the couple who occupied them. It did not matter that her ‘regulars’ were already seated across the bar, in a seat (they need to wait for another seat to open up on their side) and drinking a beverage. It did not matter that the seat they had was on the other side of the bar too. It only mattered when we sat down and the ‘bartender’ refused to serve us because she was trying to save our seats for her regulars - that were across the bar. It mattered when we refused to be shoved to the side; we were disrespected and denied service. To add further insult to injury, I asked to speak to the manager. All the bartender had to do was lie to her manager and say that I was rude to her. Please keep in mind, her version of me being rude was merely me saying …as a fifty year old woman, no I will not move because the bar is ‘first come first served’. The manager Kim, that came over, was rude and biased. I asked her to outline the ‘rules for engagement’ of the bar. She refused. She only came over to be confrontational about the ridiculous lie the bartender told her to inflict her will over the situation. When I attempted to reach out to the humane side of her, and thought she was capable of listening with good intentions; it was a complete waste of time. Managers should possess the qualifications of always choosing the best outcome for all parties. She chose to be simple minded and unfair. She only came over to attempt an argument so she could ask us to leave. Needless to say, I was a long standing patron of that location for more than twenty years. I will no longer endorse any locations in the future. Lastly, POC stopped giving up seats to our Caucasian brothers and sisters on September 22, 1961. It is a shame that I had to go there; but I can not fathom why the bizarre situation even occurred to begin with! Was the bartender that in need of a tip that she sacrificed any shred of integrity? It would be shameful to think it was racially motivated, but I will choose to believe that it may be merely coincidental. I will let you decide, but I will definitely not eat there again…..

Ordered the Cypress salad because the cornbread croutons are so delicious and the total was $26. Of course they forgot the croutons :( I have never called a restaurant to ask for a refund before but at almost $30 for a salad because of the tip and "packaging fee" and they forgot the croutons? I had to call and talk to the manager, she was fantastic! She was professional, understanding and helpful!
